There's on obvious flaw in that plan that Cummings clearly hasn't seen: the Leave hardcore won't vote Tory no matter how much you try and appeal to them, because the Leave hardcore will throw their votes in with The Nigel Farage Ego Project - and the reason they'll do that is because they have been taught to accept that Nige is the only person willing to stand up to the establishment and drag us out of the EU, a belief cultivated by...Dominic Cummings' work on the Leave campaign

So if Cummings' plan is to nick votes off TNFEP to get a majority by making the Tories the No Dealiest group of No Dealers in the history of No Dealing, not only will that obviously split the Leave vote right down the middle but severely weaken the only prospective coalition partner they'd have at this point - and not only does this have echoes of David Cameron thinking he could nick a few votes off UKIP by calling referendum on EU membership which only served to cost him his job as he ****ed the whole thing up, but also sounds uncannily like how Angela Merkel lost her majority in the Bundestag a few years ago due to a campaign based on such hubris that it was based on just voting for the Christian Democrats and not bothering with the long-established practice of giving the alternative vote to the Free Democrats so they'd have a compliant coalition partner...only she failed to gain the majority she expected by five seats while the Free Democrats lost every single one of their 93 seats at the same time

Neither of those scenarios are noted as works of political genius. Quite the opposite.

As I said, only time will tell, Cummings is a high risk operator. But do remember what Boris has said. 'I will obey the law'.

An apple one day just might make the EU go away, you heard it here first.

Is there any record of the amount of money we've "given" to the EU since laughing Ted got us in it?

Hmm, it's almost as if Tory HQ doesn't have the editor of the Scottish Sun on speed dial...

Amidst the continued implosion of the Tories which the BBC, Sun and Daily Fail seem oblivious about, Luciana Berger has jumped from The Independents} (yes, the "}" is part of their name) to join the Lib Dems - although she won't be standing as a Lib Dem MP in Liverpool Wavertree at the next election, instead she'll be parachuted somewhere else...sort of like she was parachuted into the safe seat of Liverpool Wavertree by Gordon Brown, which was about the only time the local party ever saw her

Of course, there's one minor issue with this move: as recently as June, Berger said she wouldn't join the Lib Dems...

Boris Johnson says he would rather be dead in a ditch than ask for a further extension from the EU.

Finally the bloke's talking some sense.

...while also altering a map with a Sharpie marker so he doesn't have to admit he was wrong, which only brings attention to the fact he was wrong and can't admit it to the point he has to draw on a map with a Sharpie marker so it fits with his version of events

The weather presenter on a Spanish channel could barely stop himself laughing at how wrong Trump was. He is a laughing stock all over the world, apart from Russia, obviously

Has somebody suggested to Quentin Letts that drawing comparisons between Robert Mugabe and Alexander Boris De Pfeil Johnson isn't a good idea?

I'm offended on behalf of Mugabe. He actually died, rather than just talking about it.
