If the guy had not had enough bad news about his DVT, now this really is terrible news. As has been said hopefully catching it early gives him a good chance of beating it. Good luck Angus, you deserve some.

My husband was diagnosed with Stage 0 bowel cancer back in 1990 and has been monitored by regular colonoscopies since with no further cancer cells detected. He is due for another next March.

He has had several pre cancerous polyps removed during this time. Stages 0 and 1 are generally considered early stages of bowel cancer.

All the luck in world to the lad. He should be enjoying the prime of his life, especially as he's a professional footballer and all the things that come with that. Is there a better thing to be?

As others have said, he's young and fit, so that should help him beat it.

    **** you cancer.

Hope he makes a super quick recovery and then the medical gods decide to leave him alone so he can live the rest of his life out in peace.

In 2017 I was diagnosed with bowel cancer and my only symptom was a change in bowel habits. I made a doctors appointment and within 3 weeks I had successful surgery at Castle Hill hospital ( the staff are amazing ). If you have any symptoms, don’t be embarrassed and don’t ignore them. Doctors are used to seeing lots of people with bowel problems.

The symptoms of bowel cancer can include:
    • Bleeding from your bottom and/or blood in your poo
    • A persistent and unexplained change in bowel habit
    • Unexplained weight loss
    • Extreme tiredness for no obvious reason
    • A pain or lump in your tummy
Good luck to Angus and I look forward to seeing him playing for city in the near future.

HULL CITY ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THE WONDERFUL NEWS THAT ANGUS MACDONALD HAS BEEN GIVEN THE ALL-CLEAR FROM BOWEL CANCER.

The 27-year-old was diagnosed with the early stages of bowel cancer in August but has now completed his treatment, which proved successful.

Everyone at the Club would like to express their happiness at this fantastic news.

Angus has shown tremendous courage and strength of character during the most challenging of periods.

We would like to wish him and his family and friends a wonderful Christmas and we all look forward to seeing Angus back in and around the Club.

Great, fabulous news for the lad. If ever you needed an incentive to get back playing, he just had it wrapped in tinsel.
