I imagine he will be here now till the end of season unless he goes for a free in January as clubs will wait. Get him match fit and back in the team.
“I’ve got one year left on my contract with Hull. I will honour my contract and act professional,” Henriksen told reporters in Norway ahead of their Euro 2020 qualifier against Malta on Thursday. “It’s a strange situation, because there is no footballing reasons why I am not playing at Hull. “I will keep working hard and give my very best. The only thing I can do is be professional.” “There is nothing to hide. In January there was bids which were rejected, so they chose to extend the contract for another season,” said Henriksen. “There were concrete offers (in the summer), some of them I turned down, and some of them Hull turned down. Nothing happened, and I've still got a year left on my contract. That's the way football is.” Asked if he expected to play when returning to the City fold, Henriksen said: “That is for the manager to decide. My focus is playing football and doing well for Hull. If the manager thinks I am good enough, he should play me. If not, then it is a different matter. “I have an open dialogue with the manager. Some of his quotes have been twisted a little in the media, I think, but let’s wait and see.”
It's costing him way more than that! The club turned down £1.7 mill in January and other offers this summer. Lets say maybe offers of a million? (just guessing). Very costly. We could laugh at Enobs misfortune but unfortunately it has an adverse effect on the (alleged) 'debt' and therefore the selling price
This just came up on newsnow. Wow these buggers are right up to date with transfer news....a little slow... but better late than never.. Transfer News Republic of Ireland midfielder David Meyler has announced that he is leaving Hull City after his contract expired at the end of this season. The Cork man has spent 5 and a half years at the club and despite Nigel Adkins saying he wanted Meyler to stay, Meyler has opted to go elsewhere and look for a new club for the new season which begins in August. Meyler confirmed the news on his Twitter account and he went on to thank the club and its supporters. Meyler in his statement released on Twitter said, “I just want to take this opportunity to thank all the fans at @hullcity for the past 5 and a half years,” Meyler wrote. “It’s been an incredible journey. I’m truly honoured to be part of the most successful period in the club’s history. We’ve made memories together I’ll never forget. #hcafc’’ He went on thank the five managers he played under at the club and said “I’d to thank all 5 managers I’ve played under Steve Bruce, Mick Phelan, Marco Silva, Leonid Slutsky & Nigel Adkins. I’ve been very fortunate to play with some great players in my time at Hull. Also I can’t forget all the people who work behind the scenes thank you for everything!” Meyler has yet to say what club he looks at going to, but I am pretty sure the offers will come in from numerous championship sides as he brings experience as well as a willingness to win. Meyler won two promotion with the Tigers, while he also picked up a runners up medal in the FA Cup with them.
The owners wanted him out the door Would he prefer to playing at a higher level all players wish to be so yes he is no different to 99%, of players I'd expect the we don't go to games crew to be fully behind him as it is obviously difficult under the current regime. He is clearly a natural fit bloke so play him Mr McCann
Bosman mk1 resolved the restraint on trade. Henricksen is being paid under the terms of his contract. Bosman was not being paid, at the same time the club held his players registration.
Some of us realised that. Maybe because we read the start of your post where you said it had just come up on Newsnow to inform us of that fact.
Newcastle Chronicle saying Newcastle have a genuine interest in Bowen, but weren't willing to meet the £20m asking price and are expected to come back in in January when they believe the price will be much lower due to Bowen being out of contract in the summer. Is Bowen out of contract in the summer or do we hold the option of a further year?
Yes a one year option. Given the prices of Championship players this season £20m would be the absolute minimum we should accept. But given it will be Ehab - £10m it is.
