Well deserved. From our point of view, it will push his value up in the event we decide to sell at some point. I see Shodipo has also signed a new 3 year extension to his contract. Slightly surprised at that considering the limited amount of game time he is getting. I think he has decent potential but he hasn't shown much the past couple of years for whatever reason.
Shodipo has been Injured a lot. But sometimes when he's come on as sub, he's looked really good. Warburton obviously rates him, even when he's picked up another injury.
I'm not sure about Shodipo. I mean, I haven't seen him play for a few years but he seemed to have a lot of pace without having too much ball control or intelligence about his game. But maybe he's developed into something more since those days. Eze... he's still developing. There are a few things lacking from his game but he seems to be getting better and the massive potential is there. I doubt we'll be able to keep him much longer.
As long as we don't sell him for some pathetically paltry amount, and have some good sell-on and bonus-related clauses tied in with the sale, then this is how the club now need to operate. I'd expect, on performances so far this season, that Chair will be the next one, although I think he needs a couple of seasons of first team football.
He played in that season opener when we spanked Leeds 3-0, then sort of disappeared. Warburton seems to be an astute coach judging by what I've seen of our play this season, if anyone can get a tune out of him then he's the one...
I think he played a bit under Eustace at the end of last season if I remember the time right, and did very well, dribbling the opposition crazy, playing right wing.
Eze needs to add a lot more to his game before the big teams cone sniffing . Saying that he is definitely improving under warbs guidance . As for Shodipo he is way down the pecking order . A lot more to prove in my book but will have time I’m sure . BOS is a much better option for me and can’t get in the team at moment . Future definitely bright .
Maybe we to need to loan him to some PL Club near the end of this season when promotion is ensured, so he gets a bit of experience there before he kicks off with us next August.
I would have said goals up until this season. His threat has heightened. How this lad creates his own space, even with opposition players in close attention is really something natural. Every game he looks that little more special. This kid, in my opinion could play in the premier league very easily. Infact he could most likely play in any league in the world.
