You know what it's like, you book a 3 year holiday in Leeds and after 10 days you're like, when the **** can I go to Hull?
Best solution all round now is for City to talk to Markus and his agent, and ideally negotiate to cancel his contract with immediate effect allowing him to negotiate a deal with a new club over the coming weeks and move on.
Or he can sit it out on a meagre £25k a week and negotiate with who he wants at the end of the season. Tough decision eh ?
Yes that may be his fault (I wasn't there and don't know what was said). But that has nothing to do with him earning 25k per week this season, which is the point you made that I was responding to. There's a lot of whataboutery on this board these days! Maybe his head is now right again. Has anyone asked him? What about that?!
If Henriksen doesn't want to play for us he should do the decent thing and negotiate a contract annulment. There are similar precedents, didn't Meyler take a pay cut to stay on after our first relegation from the PL?
Henriksen is quite obviously not going to negotiate the cancelling of his contract now, he can't sign for anyone else until January.
Think you have to be a free agent when the window closes - when it closed he was / is still under contract.... so even if he reached a settlement now, he can’t go anywhere until Jan Well, that’s my understanding anyway!!!
The point I was intimating, is if Terry isn't interested in playing him given he's been replaced, then say at £100k a month x 4 months is £400k. Offer Markus a deal for the vast majority of that, offload him, he can spend time with his family in Norway and sort his future out for January. In the meantime he's not hanging around the place serving no purpose. Alternatively, the club and Terry eat humble pie, reintegrate him and play him. I'm sure George Honeyman won't mind too much! Either way, Ehabs plan to get a fee is going to now cost him the best part of £500k!
