goodwood,2 45: a small but tight field,and some of these will surely improve in time,but,as things stand,LADY LYNETTA has probably just the best form here.was running surprisingly well for a longshot last time out,and the winner has backed up the form next time out,with a nice run in the lowther stakes.so,she gets the nod today.
At Catterick in the 2.30 Modakhar is a very interesting runner. Surely better was expected when Richard Hannon trained this one for Hamdan al Maktoum. Has joined another very good Trainer. Could fulfill its potential now.
3.05 Catterick Bold State You can call me crazy but wouldn't be totally surprised if this one causes an upset. Tracked leader for a long time on last visit to Catterick. Maybe the step up to 2m brings out the required improvement. Jockey Cam Hardie has been in the winners enclosure more than one time last 14 dass.
Talking crazy. Bustino's mate young Balding has MONTANARI in a 3 horse race coming up soon at Goodwood. He must think a bit of it as it debuted in the Chesham finishing 12th of 14 behind wonder horse Pinatubo. The horse in 13th has since been placed the horse in last won next time out. The Chesham has thrown up 7 winners so in a 3 runner (effectively a match) I think he is worth a punt at 4/1.
3.35 Catterick Arabian Jazz Lightly raced this season. Good runs in better company recently (unlucky when hampered 2 runs ago).Stable in nice form now. On a good mark. The one to beat for me.
not posted for a while as i dont wanna post any old crap but told gin in the inn 4.10 catterick will not be out the 1st 3 today not 100% winn but im told will be going for gold..
Comes at least half a dozen horse widths across the track and gives the challenger a broadside that sends him 3 or 4 widths across the track yet there is no Stewards Enquiry! Only won by a diminishing 3/4 L. In France that would be reversed and the jockey choosing between the guillotine and the garrotte.
For what it is worth I have a share in ROCK STEADY 7.00 Salisbury.He was bought as a NH horse but did not take to the winter game ,primarily because he is ground dependent - good to firm is his ideal surface - Alan King has had this race in mind for some time. If he were to show the form of two years ago [he was a grade 2 handicapper] he would have a good chance,but now it is guesswork I will still have a bit on at 8/1 in the hope that he retains some ability.
