Yeah but you’d generally like to go into a NLD with the strongest possible side. Poch seems to be enjoying handicapping us at the moment, don’t know what’s gotten into him this season so far. His stubbornness is costing us.
He definitely looks ****ed off with the player/transfer situation atm, probably because Levy has ****ed him off out of any deals, as he sees himself as being as/more important than the manager. Now he's seeing Eriksen and both Vert and Toby possibly going on a free. Poch don't like it, and who would ?
Levy’s delivered all four of the players Poch wanted so I don’t think it has anything to do with the chairman. I think it’s beyond transfer stuff, even if you think you may lose those three, you still play them until they actually leave. As to what the problem is though I don’t know but whatever it is it’s hindering us already.
I said at the end of last season, I thought that Spurs team that got to the CL final had peaked. Your defence was looking rock solid, Eriksen and Alli were running the MF and Kane and Son were scoring for fun. Doesn't look so much like that atm.
This Spurs team peaked two years ago mate, the CL final was just a one off thing that happens in cup competitions sometimes.
It probably actually peaked in 16/17, our final season at the Lane. Kane (injuries aside), Eriksen, Son and Vertonghen are the only four from that team/ squad still at the same level or better, probably Davies too but he’s also had injuries. Lloris, Rose, Toby, Dier, Wanyama and Alli have all dipped, some worse than others, Lamela constantly remains inconsistent or injured whilst Walker, Trippier and Dembele were sold.
Was the Liverpool board a cry for help? or are you happy with the drudgery of talking to witless knuckle-dragging neanderthals on the Spud board?
Do you honestly believe that? Buzzchetto was given who Danny wanted to buy, that's why you didn't get Dybala.
This was the very first post on this thread. It seems really appropriate to bump it. Really, though. HAS anyone seen him?
