That's fair enough too. My point is that I don't think there is any reason or excuse for a well paid Footballer to think that he is too good and not try his best.
https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/...nt-jake-hesketh-southampton-lincoln-city-loan Sorry already posted earlier, I didn't update soon enough
If he had any sense he would have knuckled down here. If he put in the effort and performed how he's capable of he would have got his move to a big club. We're the best shop window around.
Hoedt gone on loan to Antwerp. Hopefully a few of these guys have good seasons and we can get ok money for them next season
The only reason electricians and plumbers don't behave like Prima Donnas while a lot of players do, is because the former would never get away with it. Do a **** job because you're not feeling it? Then don't expect to be getting any more work any time soon.
Got to say this intrigued me because, with all due respect to Antwerp, the level of football in mid-table Belgium surely cannot be much above the English championship. I appreciate that the world is awash with Belgian talent bit the majority of these players play for in other European leagues. I am not surprised that Hoedt has ended up at this level and those players who have been moved out today appear to have gone to clubs I would consider inferior to Saints with the exception of Celtic - a big club but whose credentials might be tested in the Premiership. Those calling for Hesketh to be given a chance might be a surprised to see him rock up at resurgent Lincoln. You do feel that Koeman had a point about the academy players he inherited and the average quality. Perhaps a case of the academy resting too much on it's laurels? I hate to be snobby about this but this is really indicative of the kind of dross we previously signed as opposed to the teams up Poch and Koeman which were bristling with talent that everyone desired. I am still a but shocked about Wanyama's departure, Obviously reached his "sell by" date for top league football.
Loans won’t help though. We are only relieved of the issue temporarily, the problem still has a contract. Hopefully you’re right and they have good seasons. Or do a Boufal.
Agreed, TSS is of course right that as a club we can’t match the individual ambitions of players, but those players have got to outgrow us with consistent performances on the pitch.
