It finished Charlton 0 QPR 3 at a cold Sparrows Lane. QPR were the better side in the first half but we still had chances, the best one fell to Hackett - Fairchild who couldn't finish. The first goal came from a free kick after an unnecessary push by Sarpong- Wiredu. The second QPR goal came from a cross that was headed in. 2-0 at half- time. The second half followed in the same vein as the first half with QPR dictating play. They scored the third and final goal. It finished 0-3. Dennis Wise was there and his son was involved in a nasty clash of heads with Jo Cummings. No Charlton player stood out. I have to say,with one or two exceptions, this is not a great group of U23 players. Maynard- Brewer Sarpong- Wiredu, Cummings, Blumberg, Zemura, Anderson, Maloney, Morgan, Dempsey, Carey, Hackett-Fairchild Subs Osaghae,Mascoll,Doughty, Ocran. Cummings stepped into the starting 11 after Yao dropped out.
