Won’t last. Bubble will burst soon. Two swallows don’t make a summer. Winning a few battles doesn’t mean they’ll win the war. New manager bounce. They’ll get found out. ........
A great start to their season, currently unbeaten. I wish we could say the same. I don't think the yanks will asset strip the team in January if they're still up there in the new year. Good luck to them.
its been a good start to the season, totally unexpected even for most Jacks, however the bubble will surely burst as stated elsewhere, how badly time will tell, a long season still to come. re asset stripping, tbh there aint much left to get rid of Baston and Ayew I suppose would be the highest earners
Cooper has worked wonders. And the accademy has produced again. Despite the adversity a great set of results. Whether they can maintain it with such a young team, who knows.. I never saw their start coming.
Its a brilliant start Musty. I disagree theres not much to get rid of. You must have some good players there to be top. It will be very interesting if you went up.
Including friendlies, we've (Swans) won 13 and drawn 1 since Cooper took over. That's already quite a big bubble don't you think ? That run will inevitably come to an end at some point, making sure the streak doesn't become a winless one is the important thing.
Musty......I think, come January, the matter may be trying to get the salary bill down but, also, by then if you are still up there, the value of some players will have risen. It is clear the Yanks are (have to be?) watching the overdraft/cash situation very closely and that may dictate matters more than the chance of promotion and the costs/benefits to be garnered from the promised land. In reality, it is an interesting conundrum. But a nice one to have, I guess.
Stereo.....it is indeed already a big bubble that will go with an apparent bang. But I reckon, a big bubble may survive the odd inevitable prick. It's a string of losses you don't want.
I guess they need to stay up there to stave off any further asset stripping as the attendances they are getting now won't help pay the wages of their remaining big earners very much... I'm sure I remember there being some lofty comments when they were one of the rich, established Premier League teams that there were thousands on a season ticket waiting list... Wonder where they all went? (And yeah, I know, probably the same place as our extra 8-10k have gone )
Not many teams have gone through the season winning or drawing all there games and even Man city and Liverpool will get beat at some point and we are no different....As long as we bounce back after a loss which is more likely than not then we will stay up the top 6. I dont know where this stripping of assets are coming from as we have added staff and players after getting rid of nearly all of the high earners that were bleeding the club. That has balanced the books to a level that is better than most championship clubs today. Because we had a very strong academy run by Tosh and his staff we have been able to promote players and as they are use to playing the Swansea way they have had an easy passage into the first team and there are more we can call upon if needed.....So we are in a far better shape now than the last 3 seasons in the premiership in money and player wise......Just keep on doing what we are doing and we will be up there challenging for promotion at the end of the season......
Is it still a council house? Wouldnt spend my own money putting a conservatory on the back of a council house.
im not sure dude I don't really speak 2 anyone who talks about Swansea tbh and I don't do mainstream media............its good 2see them back in the prem though hey
