Not wumming, but Foyth looks like a liability to me mate. That RB position is a weakness for you and Poch must think Aurier is utter ****ing gash to play Sanchez there ahead of him today. He's right. Aurier is ****ing gash. Eriksen looks like he'll be gone on a free soon now. He's going to be a huge loss for you as he is basically the heartbeat of your team.
Small talk? ... the 'likes' can be a pretty good indicator of sycophancy Skrimmer ... and you didn't get your nickname for nowt ... Quentin has benefited immensely... the fact that you think I'm obsessed rather than just observational merely demonstrates that your mind reflects your physical stature, short crust
Dont disagree re Eriksen. Aurier has pissed Pochettino off with his inability to defend but Foyth has a lot of potential but needs game time
Now if I remember rightly, somebody predicted that we might be better placed to lose Harry Maguire than many other teams would have been ... clever bloke, whoever it was, obviously knows his stuff. Caglar Soyuncu has arguably been our stand out performer so far .... not completely surprising as he was impressive in the Bundesliga and did cost us £19m ... can be a tad impetuous but has the ball skills of a central midfielder and is both aggressive and very strong Early days yet but like many of the others is in his early 20s and is only going to get better ...
We were heavily linked to Soyuncu last season. So I watched a bit of him and yes he's a very decent defender.
You would of course Barry ... and you'd be wrong as usual... I haven't enjoyed footie as much since 2015 / 16 ... indeed I've rediscovered my passion for the game ... but certainly not going to let an opportunity to RIP the piss out of Gimli go by PS is it a articular scouse trait to continuously misread poster's moids on a footie forum? ... you are superb at it tbf
If you think Pepe at 24 is still a raw talent then I’m claiming Foyth at 21 definitely is! Lol. I get that people don’t rate him yet though, still needs a lot of maturing but I think he’s got a massive future. Short term he’ll do us well at RB but long term he’s definitely a CB, very much in Vertonghen’s mould but obviously years away from that level. Agree on Eriksen but I’d much rather lose him next summer than this, don’t care if it’s for free (ain’t my money ). Really wanna see him, Ndombele and Lo Celso in a starting XI all fully fit, three very silky and creative players.
So you still need a RB then As for Eriksen going on a free, whilst it might not be your money. It is £150m (his true market value) that isn't going to be reinvested into Spurs. The same might also happen with Alderwiereld and Vertonghen. As we found out to our cost, running players contracts down and letting them go on a free will soon come back to haunt you.
Oh yeah, long term we 100% need one but I think Foyth (when fit) up until January/ next summer will do a decent enough job. We got by (just!) with a poor Trippier last season and I really don’t think Foyth will be any worse. Yeah the contract situation is a ****ing nuisance, no denying that. It does sound as though Toby has made a U-turn though and is on the verge of signing a new deal which will be great. Vertonghen also said during the summer he’d sign a new contract if offered so hopefully Poch has gotten over his brainfarts of dropping him and a new deal can get sorted ASAP. Eriksen is the one with huge market value and losing him will be a ****ter but hopefully that’ll be a problem for the club next summer rather than this.
Sign of the times mate ... there was a time when players would never have considered us ... but Soyuncu, Tielemans and a couple of others show that we are now very capable of attracting particularly young and up and coming talent
It was your awful spelling Col, maybe that was just your fume and eagerness to vent your spleen.....again. You should maybe read the small font white comments I’ve put at the foot of my last couple of posts btw....
