I like 352 myself, you could put either Magennis or Irvive on the left and play Turbo behind Eaves or Magennis.
Makes depressing reading... Callum Elder - Out until after the international break. Angus MacDonald - Only just allowed back in training. Dan Batty - suspected ankle ligament damage. Jon Toral - Hamstring, return date unknown. Reece Burke - Hamstring, return date unknown. Matt Pennington - Calf strain, return date unknown. Stephen Kingsley - Hamstring, return date unknown.
I had a really ****ed up knee about ten years ago, Chazz. I got it playing five a side, way past my sell by date. I was hobbling around for about a month before I went to see my GP, actually he was a locum. He showed me a simple, but strenuous exercise where I had to strengthen my right thigh. In a seated position, hold your leg out straight for as long as you can and I mean until you start to shake with the effort. I did this for just two weeks and the result was fantastic. I returned to five a side after another two weeks, but I shouldn't have. My knee went again. I continued with the exercise and all was well again. Apparently as we get older, our knees drop and strengthening your thigh pulls the knee back up. Worked wonders for me, mate. Dr Kemps.
Batty update... “The scans came back and showed that Dan has suffered ankle ligament damage but I don’t think it’s going to be too bad,” said McCann. “He may miss the first game back after the international break but he’ll be back for the one after that. “The break has come at a good time for ‘Batts’, plus the games are Saturday-Saturday-Saturday once the domestic action gets going again after the international matches. “So there’s every chance he’ll only miss two games because of the knock – Saturday’s game at Millwall and the home game with Wigan, which is positive news.”
I imagine during his lay off and whilst collecting his wages he has gone to local schools and offered his services chatting with the kids about health and fitness.
