No legal challenge has been lost yet. 'Brilliant' lying by Johnson. How low have you sunk? You can get off the roundabout whenever you like, so stop moaning.
There was a legal challenge lost in Scotland. Try to keep up. They all lie. I'm no big fan of Boris, but so far, he's playing a blinder. The more "outraged" (lol) people like you become, the better I'll reckon he's doing. Pretty pissed now, so I'll duck out. No doubt you'll want the last word.
I do keep up, you just hear what you want to hear. The legal challenge in Scotland hasn't even been considered yet. The initial request for an immediate judgment was denied, but the full hearing will be held next week. Your own hypocrisy, claiming that parliamentary sovereignty is your prime reason for supporting Brexit whilst applauding Cummings's Johnson's subverting of it, is breathtaking in my opinion.
Reverse the positions and Jezza is PM, we all know that Seamus Milne would be the 'puppetmaster', I doubt Jezza could fart without permission. It's the way politics is micromanaged these days. Sadly, I doubt if there's a politician with original thoughts could ever be PM, it's similar to football these days, they're coached in everything they do...
Is it worth the bother Strolls? I applaud your valiant effort but Johnson could start executing Remain MP's live on TV and Col would find a way to make peace with it in the name of his sacred Brexit. He's not even bothering to engage properly at all now. It's true we are all dug in like Alabama ticks on either side of the debate but if the **** Boris and co. have been pulling of late isnt enough to make the hard core Brexiters stop and think nothing will.
It's dispiriting for sure, but they shouldn't be allowed to get away with it. I moved my position - I would have accepted May's deal for the sake of getting it all over with - but the other lot keep moving further the other way and want only No Deal now. There's no real pretence that any new solution is going to be proposed. They should be stopped by any means possible.
Can referendum be banned If the Mps want the ultimate say don't let the plebs anywhere near a voting paper
Oh give it a rest man! Hypocrisy at it's finest, with a heavy dose of patronising preaching. The remain side have tried everything for over three years and now start crying like girls when the tables are turned. Get over it. Round and round we go.
I agree most are now firmly entrenched hence I also partially agree with the 'round and round we go' sentiment. But the proroguing etc for a lot of people is significant enough to warrant further debate. I will respectfully disagree with your comments about the remain side and the tables being turned.
Fair enough. I've heard legal and constitutional experts, plus Quality on here say that it's all within the gift of the PM. Whether it's the 'right' thing to do obviously depends on your standing concerning brexit.
I agree, if it came down to no deal or May's then I'd have taken her deal. It really is a sorry state of affairs.
Absolutely we certainly can't dispute the legality but the morality is very questionable. Its just the lying, we know why it's been done but that's not what we are being told, I don't think anyone should be ok with that.
Whether it's legal or not will be tested in the courts. Whether it's 'right' or not depends surely on how strongly you believe in the sovereignty of parliament, not necessarily on your position on Brexit.
I think the 'sovereignty' of Parliament has been totally undermined from the start by a biased Speaker who is supposed to be impartial but has openly declared he will do anything he can to stop Brexit. When you are playing the referee as well as the opposition Parliament has little credence. The fact Boris has for the first time pulled a fast one on the opposition and the faux outrage of Remoaners alleging it is a 'Coup' is beyond hypocritical. The Speaker continues to openly plot with the opposition on tactics, I don't recall Betty Boothroyd plotting against John Major when he previously prorogued Parliament back in the day...
