We beat Rochdale, Wimbledon and Pompey, none that convincingly, came up well short today, JR needs 3 players, Donald wants the cheapest left back available, we need a pacy winger........

I don’t argue that mate, that’s constructive and accurate.

We could do with another CM in truth as well. Yeah, we have a bunch of them, but they are all at the same level and of limited ability.

Folk saying chop the gaffer etc though? Far too strong. We’ve chopped gaffers for years and all that we’ve achieved is a slide down the leagues.

I do not have the figures at hand but we seem to be playing a lot more games with 10 men than against, and this is a costly handicap in terms of points. The poor standard of officials is one problem, but our response to cynical provocation is another, we cant do much about the first, but we can about the latter and Jack Ross and his coaches have had enough warnings by now, to give this some priority, even if it means just exaggerating slightly any signs of this behaviour from opponents. I also notice that substitutions are employed to protect second yellows for their more active agents, they Wembley play off final being an example which should alert officials of deliberate use of such tactics by known perpetrators, the sending of of Harry Arter this week was a beacon of common sense and we need to see more.

See you watch that and it’s so obvious that he’s not hit him or touched his face then how can the referee send him off? Guesswork? It can’t be anything else. Conned by a player who cheated. Shows the level of ref we have I suppose

Its a bit more ambiguous in the other video admittedly but if you were as close as the ref should have been it should have been obvious. If it's not overturned on the basis of the video evidence then there's no justice. Toney should get a retrospective booking for play acting.

It’s worried me all season to be fair. The bookings we have got in almost every game were for much less than the opponents have got away with. Is it the “I’m in charge and you’re not a big club here” scenario or what? It makes no sense. We had 4 players booked against Portsmouth and the worst foul by miles was by their defender which didn’t even get a talking to. Jack Ross said the same about yesterday that there seemed to be a level of foul for our yellows and a much worse level for theirs.

You are the best supported team in the league by far, but that does not equate to being the best team in the league. As for the division being piss poor 'FACT' as you put it, you're currently sitting in sixth place, so your the sixth piss poor team in the league 'fact.'

My predictions to be auto promoted Ipswich & Posh with Lincoln being a good outside bet for the play-offs <whistle>

There's no point trying to converse with Monty, a) he doesn't lower himself to reply to people and b) he's insane

I always thought that kind of thinking was just red and white tinted paranoia but it does seem to be an issue in this league. Don't know why that should be.

No, you were right first time.

You don’t notice soft decisions given for your own side, only against.

There’s no agenda, just a lack of pace causing our players to dive in.

You can count the convincing wins we have had in the last year on one hand, yet people are criticised for questioning JR , its a nonsense.

The O'Nien sending off was a poor decision though. Haven't seen Wyke's. Being a referee is a tough job, I did the qualifications and then packed it in, so I usually avoid giving them stick. I have noticed some poor performances lately though. Not just in our games, I watched a non-league one totally influenced by the home crowd last week.

He seems to get his tactics/selection wrong a bit too regularly but I'm not sure that there's anyone else who is going to come and do any better with those players.

Only two teams outside of the relegation zone have conceded more goals than us.

    That's not true and a negative way of looking at it;

    MKD - 10
    OXF - 13
    ACC - 9

    Equal with Sunderland - 8
    Fleet - 8
    Tranm - 8

    Relegation (excluded)
    all 3 teams

    = 9 Teams

So there are nine teams in the league including yourselves on 8 or more goals conceded.

The key thing is, there are 17 teams with fewer points than us.

The same ref CRAIG HICKS sent off Max Power in the 23rd minute last season when we played Walsall away. (2-2)
It was Power's 3rd red in 6 games. However the red card was later rescinded after an appeal. :emoticon-0121-angry

With McGeady , Wyke, Grigg , McNulty and McGuire at his disposal I'd think he would go 4-3-1-2 , any 3 from those 5 should be enough at this level. McGeady as the 1.

We needed a couple of full backs who can overlap and add a bit of pace, McLaughlin looks a bit slow for that role, JR has to get it right with the left back. Its not JR's fault that we can't afford one. Its what he has to work with.
Many of the problems facing Ross would be inherited by a new regime.
