Not sure tbh but the whole emphasis of this stadium was its atmosphere. We created the Wall, 1 tier stand for this purpose...so I’m just wondering why it’s not happening...if indeed it isn’t. I ask the question because watching on TV does t always do the live atmosphere justice.

My brother made the remark ‘not selling your tickets?’ I tried to spot the empty seats wasn’t sure if he was wumming or not. Don’t want it to become another Emirates.

No empty seats, mate. At least not from where I can see.

Atmosphere can be flat though. My section is brilliant in the south, I’m behind the goal too the right and we’re always singing. But my cousin is a bit further over and hasn’t had the same luck with many choosing to sit and barely sing. Feels like the old lot from WHL are still singing but the extra thousands have come to enjoy their prawn sandwiches.

I am close to the halfway line in Lower East. The South stand can be very loud and when a lot of the East stand and some of the North join in the atmosphere is great. But I would say that after the first 15 mins, singing is usually in response to something good on the pitch rather than in advance of it.
I wish we'd stop the stand up if you hate Arsenal chant though. I don't want thst name mentioned at all.

Lots of people are on holiday still. I went on the site a few days before the game and there were a lot of tickets for sale on the Ticket Exchange. I mean a LOT. However, the attendance was a genuine 59,245 and all tickets were sold.

Once the kids are back at school, it'll pick up again and getting in will become an arse ache again for non-ST holders...if we start to play football again. As RCL said a few pages back, this is no cheap day out any more....

There's quite a lot of tourists around at the moment and I think that a lot of the regulars are dampened by the lineups.
I've lost track of the number of times that I've seen the team announced and known that I'll be waiting for the first sub on the hour before we get going.
Being fairly certain that you're not going to score in the first half is quite off-putting.

The increased prices mean that ST holders are more prepared to move tickets on more regularly. Add in those who want to visit the new stadium for the first time and the atmosphere is going to be affected.

At the Inter Milan pre-season game, it was like the bastard child of The Emirates and The Etihad.

    We must all try harder.

True. The team need to do something to stir the support, though. The place is absolutely deafening when it gets going.

Yep, one of my mates paid £68 for Sunday... Won't even begin to tell you his mood after the game.

I'd have been pissed off if I'd paid 6 shillings and eight pence.
