LOL. You clearly haven't been watching us play. We've been rubbish. I'm not confident for this game at all.
From what I've seen there are weaknesses at the back, but you seem better going forward than us. I went for 3-2 as I see an open game where ultimately Aubameyang and Lacazette (I prefer the days when I only had to spell Henry and Wright ) will be too strong for us but I fancy us to score against you.
My worry is we are simply too predictable with each phase of passing. We are passing it out from the back when the gaps between CBs, FBs and CMs are too narrow, players are facing the goalkeeper when receiving the ball, rather than being on the half-turn, and we are so cumbersome in possession in the defensive third of the pitch, that even teams like Burnley can harry us to disrupt our rhythm. Then we are playing makeshift fullbacks in a system where proper fullbacks are critical to Emery's style of play. Having erratic players like David Luiz at the heart of defence doesn't inspire much confidence, either. Also, I am yet to be convinced about whether we have the personnel to play it out from the back effectively. It has caused us issues in every single game so far. If Burnley can cause us problems, who aren't exactly a team renowned for their counter pressing capabilities, then I am concerned at what the likes of Ndombele/Sissoko/Winks will do against a potential midfield pivot of Xhaka and Guendouzi. I know we have injuries in vital positions, several players who aren't up to 100% match fitness yet and it is still the beginning of the season. But this isn't the time that I feel 'ready' to play a north London derby. Let's be honest, neither us or you have been particularly impressive so far.
All true. I just worry about Aubameyang and or Pepe v Walker-Peters. I don't expect you to dominate us but your front players are more clinical than ours so far.
I’ll be positive (although deluded and foolish are better words!) Woolwich 1-4 Spurs Lucas x2, Kane x2
