Took a 'knock' and is doubtful for Saturday ! well can you believe it, i did notice he got a 'kick' last week mind, the refs will have to get a grip with that and the time wasting in this division.

Thats going to be the case from now on with Dunc. Players that have been out as long as him pick up knocks and strains all the time unfortunately. Id liked to have seen us sign another out and out winger.

This is another problem which JR should have for seen and maybe by initiating splitting the work load beteen Watmore and Morgan when we had the opportunity, rather than in response to crisis, we might now have two useful wingers to call on, instead we lost both. JR, like many of us underestimated the rough, calculating nature of this league, we do now, does he, we will know better in the next month or so.

Apparently (according to my Mate who works at the academy) it's an impact injury not a strain - bruising from a kick. Please don't shoot the messenger though!! That's better news than if it's another muscle strain!!

"Duncan was on the grass today doing a little bit of running so hopefully towards the end of the week he might start training properly.”

I just remembered where to look for such things, thanks RTB.

He won't play against Burnley now.
He had a setback in training today - not sure how serious but he won't play any part tomorrow night. :emoticon-0101-sadsm

I hate to say this but Duncan looks like he's made of glass, which a lot of us were beginning to suspect.
It gives me no pleasure in saying this and hope the lad proves me wrong big style.

I think Watmore just needs a bit more patience because he's had two years out and with his all action style he was bound to pick up a few tweaks. If he gets any reoccurrences of his old injuries he's done unfortunately but I think him being out here and there while his body adjusts is inevitable.

i think he will be sold in the next window, had too long out with injuries, nice lad ,canny player but a sick note now. there's no job in the world that would continue paying full wages with that long out.

If he doesn't barely play for the rest of the season then we don't have much choice other than to move him on. I'm just hoping that he can shake off these niggles and get some game time.

No one would buy him, I like the lad but injuries have done him, get rid, Michael Bridges suffered a similar fate, its tough but is what it is, we can't keep paying him for nowt. Get two in who can get on the pitch and play for his wage.

Hope this latest set back is just that and he plays in the next week or two, fingers crossed, but it must be crunch time soon, as no club can wait forever at any cost especially us in this vital season. I don't know enough to speak with any authority on the subject, but maybe a review of his contract would be in order that would benefit both sides while maintaining the enormous respect and good will that the vast majority of supporters have for Duncan.

Not much to sort out, from Roker Report and Tranfermarkt, he's on around £20k per wk and his contract expires at the end of the season.

For Duncan, the cliub, and my need for speed, I'm hoping he has a great season.

This last one was an impact injury. Got kicked. He's targeted when he's on the pitch now.
