There was a good fishing tackle shop down there but I know that's not the one you mean. I remember there was a certain shop there but I can't remember what it sold. Must have been either porn, sex aids or both?

Didn't know it was on Anlaby Road. Had relocated to Newland Ave when I bought a TV for my first flat there. 80s.

Bought an old Luxman hifi radio from Poole's Corner on Newland AVE, for £15. It's worth £400 now.

Then again, I had a pair of active speakers that did the rounds between my group of mates. When I passed them on, the next lad sold them to Poole's Corner and they had them in the window for £20 more than you could buy them new.

I have fond memories of Bernadette Ave fish and chip shop in Anlaby Common, and a frank the yank with tomato relish.
