6-0. Oriel Romeu with a double hat-trick. All in the first six minutes. The first five all overhead kicks, but the sixth one will be a new invention - the overhead header - which involves the player rotating a further 180 degrees in the air and using the back of his head to hit the ball. After the game Oriel will name this new invention, 'rueda de la fortuna', which in English is 'the wheel of fortune'.
I think it will be 10/11 changes territory, but I would be tempted to keep Adams in the side. Could be a game where he gets a chance to open his account. Danso in a central defensive role would be the other player I’d like to see keep his place in the team.
McCarthy Cedric Yoshida Hoedt Voskins Romeu Slattery Armstrong Boufal Long Obafemi Of the players who we are trying to offload, it sounds like Lemina, Ely and Carrillio are the closest to the door, so I don't really see the point of involving them.
Didn't Ralph say in the Summer/end of last season that he planned on taking both cups seriously but the FA Cup would be dependant on points tally? That says to me a strong side for this. Hopefully we don't see too many changes anyway, I'd like to keep the bulk of the team settled after our first win. Would like to see Boufal start and maybe Valery given the night off but only a couple more beyond that.
Strong team please Ralph. McCarthy Cedric Yoshida Stephens Vokins Romeu Danso Armstrong Boufal Obafemi Djenepo
Pretty much every team makes a minimum of 7 changes for these opening rounds(inc Championship sides). They all talk a good game, but I always get the impression that managers hope the squad is strong enough to survive these opening rounds. Just seen Tom ask for a strong side and suggested a team with nine changes to Saturday.
I'd go with that. I'd probably have Adam's in for Obafemi potentially though. Would like him to get off the mark.
