Predictions of a 20,000 crowd today.

Personally I hope we see Pratley back (never thought I’d post that), and Williams starting ahead of Oztumer.

This will be a tough test.

Brentford are one of the best footballing sides in this league.

I’d be happy with a draw.

3-0 home win. Probably a brace for Taylor, if not a hat-trick.
Brentford have scored 2 league goals this season so far. We did that in the first game.

It's going to be hot stuff at the Valley - the temperature as well as the football. Bring water...

Whilst this is going on, the protest takes me to Ampthill v Hillingdon Borough in the Spartan South Midlands League Division 1.

Engrossed in the game on Wednesday night, it will be interesting to {not}see what team turns up. If we play like we did in the first half we'll win a lot more than we'll lose. The second half performance was bottom six.

I wonder if Gallagher will be rested? He was knackered by the end on Wednesday.

2-1 to us in a hard fought encounter.

Aa for Gallagher, it's stamina as well as energy. I believe this hits its peak around 25-30 years. Give him a rest, the boy done good.

What a three points. Our defense had to be reshaped after Oshilaja was replaced by Lapslie, and their Pratley went to CB. They were heroic. After the flowing football of Wednesday, this was a performance of sheer guts and character by our makeshift squad. Gallagher scored a very coolly taken winner, his third, and he's never even played senior football before. A Lee Bowyer team.

    Nicked 3 points there.

We were battered for 90 min.

    Lockyer & Pearce both excellent.

    Lapslie isn’t a right back.

    Dillon wasn’t great in goal.

I thought Lapslie played well considering he is not a full back. A real backs to the wall fight.

Oddly enough it was Phillips' worst home game but his first clean sheet. His distribution isn't getting better. I expect Amos to come in soon.

Considering that we have the lowest-value squad in the league and were red-hot favourites for relegation this was a win to savour for me. A cheapskate squad thrown together at the last minute has been turned into a team of scrappers who no-one will enjoy playing against. Well done Bowyer<applause><applause><applause>

More kicks into touch than Jonny Wilkinson. He threw one into touch today as well.

Made a couple of good saves but it looked from the NW as though one routine take bounced off his knees and was hacked away by I think Lockyer. The fans are getting nervous when the ball comes to him now.

I felt it was the fans who got the team over the line today.

I would stick with Phillips. Amos looked very poor against Villa.

the passing at the back was awful today. i noticed that the forwards werent making the runs they did on wednesday, but in this heat i'm not surprised.
