So, we are coming off the back of pissing off City, their fans (who are more plastic than the empty seats at the Etihad) and the pundits with our amazing display of one touch, attacking football last weekend which saw City run ragged.
The biggest surprise of the night was watching Eriksen's show stopping, all action performance which showed Real, Barcalona and all the others why they need to sign him by 2nd September. This showed that Eriksen's commitment has not waivered one jot despite all the transfer talk <whistle>

Tomorrow we welcome Newcastle. Unfortunately, Ndombele has been injured in training by a tackle from Wanyama...it was not malicious just a little slow...actually the tackle was supposed to be on kane but by time Vic had got their kane had long gone and (after a slow 12 pass sideways move ... which we are close to perfecting) Ndombele had arrived!

Newcastle are known as the toon...some claim that it is because of how the fake Scots pronounce "town" but it is actually because they are always telling Cheryl "I married Ashley to proved I am not a racist" Cole to try and sing in "toon"<diva>

The toon are no longer managed by the fat spanish waiter who has gone to China to learn more about other cultures and tactics, NOT FOR THE MONEY ... he has been replaced by the hook nosed burger van waiter.
In fairness, he is consistent...he has done nothing of note at Sheffield United, Sunderland, Wigan, Aston Villa or Wednesday.
It is purely a coincidence that Sheffield United, Sunderland and Wigan ALL crashed and burned in the aftermath of his reign. He was onto s loser at Villa...it's not like they did better once he left :bandit:

Jonjo shelvey is gutted as Dele is injured so he'll have to concentrate on kicking the ball.

Newcastle have a history of upsetting the odds against us...the most recent being when Alan "shagger" Pardew's side had one attempt and scored whereas we had 40 attempts with 15 on target and failed to score...can you imagine a team not getting battered in circumstances like that? <whistle>

Just did a review on the game last season.
90 mins of turgid slow slow sideways slow punctuated by one goal.

The Toon will no doubt try similar again, so the boys really must
blitzkrieg from KO to get ahead and force the Toon to open out.

And yet the Toon continually frustrate Spurs, no matter how the relative
fortunes are for each club in any given season.

A win tomorrow would see us, at worst, move into third - at best second

    No pressure...

A big performance is needed tomorrow, to carry the momentum from
the Citeh game into the NLD.

    Must win

Truth is no reason, no selection **** up, nothing whatsoever should stand in the way of us getting 3 points today. No ref blunders, no Var.

We should be outclassing them over the 90.

Let's see if our best player(Eriksen) plays like our best player today.

    COYS

    No excuses

Am on my way with the teen beast ... celebrating her getting 10 GCSEs ... she worked so hard for them...3 A's 5 B's and 2 C's... she was ill through almost a year of her studies and had weekly hospital appts for 6 months and then fortnightly ones for 2 months so she missed tonnes of school .

Hope the team work as hard as she did and show as much pride and resilience.

So proud of her...nope not getting teary...dust in my eye dammit!

The passing MUST be FAST and FORWARD today, because of the weather.

If the Toon are going for busparquet, then make their defence really sweat by
running around like blue-arsed flies. No 10 second slow slow sideways slow
play to allow them to reset after they lose possession.

Excellent results. Well done her! You must be well chuffed!

My eldest got A, B, B in her A' Levels and is off to Manchester next month. I'm the proudest of proud dads...but I don't want her to go...<wah>

Buy her a raincoat, she will need one. Perhaps an umbrella as well.

PS congrats to your daughter as i know from personal experience how difficult it can be when you miss chunks of school .

That's what I'd like to see, except I'd continue with Rose. What we will see I think will be Winks for Eriksen, and Alderweireld for Vertonghen, as well as Rose for Davies. Lo Celso should make an appearance around the 70 minute mark.

    COYS!
