I have a lot of family up in scotland who were directly affected by that old witches decisions. She didnt care less for people up north of the bubble. As for hatred from the left, as Col put it, then if you weren't affected by her regime then you wouldnt have a problem with her. If you were then you would understand the celebrations at her death. She created misery up here for thousands. Good riddance to the evil bitch. If it had been a labour or any other party leader that inflicted the misery she did, then I would say exactly the same about them!

How anyone care even try and defend that ex PM is beyond me and I was born in the bloody South.

Totally agree with this post 100% say it as you see it. she totally unbalanced the UK and we are now living through the decline due to her governance. What she did during the Falklands to save herself was absolutely disgusting. How she treated the Irish was also very nasty. How she brainwashed the nation was also despicable imo.

She represented everything that is wrong and is still wrong today.

My old man lived with me for 15 years and suffered from it and a lot . We adjusted fine and as he would say I can only live in the now anyway. Thatcher no way I did things my own way and proud of it one thing very close to my entire being is that I rebelled against that landscape.

Remember I have had property in France for over 35 years now I think about it accurately.

Anyone even mildly suggested that I have in anyway Thatcher to thank face to face then they would fall foul of the deep resentment that fuelled everything I am.

Charm and Thatcher do not mix.
She was an awful dictator and would never receive anything but hate from me.

I am ****ing livid just being reminded of her.

I must prepare myself for your deep resentment that fuels everything that you are then, Peeps. Do I get a punch on the nose, a swift knee in the orchestras, or just a Paddington Bear hard stare?

I reckon a great many, many well off social-liberals did extremely well as a result of the commercial landscape put in place during the 80s and, yes, adjusted, amended and adapted since. I’ve heard a number admit it.

Frankly, if you reject that as applied to you, then I couldn’t give two hoots either way.

You get a pass you are a old git like me on a little small football forum.

I reckon a great many many many human beings of whatever political persuasions did extremely badly.

Where exactly are we today in the UK?

Split and divided imo nothing left but to Moab and blame ... we all do it I certainly do

As much as I respect the uprising of the people regarding Brexit I still firmly believe that protest vote came from decades following the MT seed.

Haven’t people done well?
How is that is judged exactly?

I can only comment on my path and I did that twice. No one else.

This is Championship son x

Euroscepticism was around way before Thatcher mugged a five year old for his milk bottle. De Gaulle - a Frenchman I believe, so unlikely to be wrong, I’m sure, despite once being sentenced to death by his own government - understood the psyche of the British people perhaps better than we do ourselves. He knew we’d be uncomfortable in such an organisation... and he was right.

The evil old bitch mugging a 5 year olds milk bottle was just a tiny tiny drop in the ocean. I'm sure many did very well under her era. Certain ones were always going to while others lost their jobs, homes, family and way of life. Says it all when there were actual street parties on the day she died. Some make money and take pleasure from those decisions. Generations still to this day feel the aftermath of it.

MP Jared O'Mara has been arrested on suspicion of fraud, according to multiple sources.
The independent MP for Sheffield Hallam was arrested at the same time as his chief of staff Gareth Arnold, the BBC's Next Episode Podcast found.
Electronic equipment was confiscated in the South Yorkshire Police inquiry, the BBC also understands.
Mr O'Mara did not respond to requests for comment while Mr Arnold said he had "no comment".
Both have been released under investigation.
South Yorkshire Police would not confirm details of either man's arrest.
The Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority said it was a "matter for the police".
Mr O'Mara said he was "taking time out for mental health treatment" in July and promised to resign at the end of summer recess after allegations of sexual misconduct towards staff.
Constituents have complained that case work has not been dealt with in the MP's absence, allegations Mr Arnold denies.
Responding to the latest news, Sinead Parkinson, a member of the Hallam Constituents Facebook group, told the BBC: "We are pleased that an investigation is under way but we are still a constituency unrepresented and action needs to be taken to correct that."
During its investigation, the BBC uncovered staff running the MP's office without the proper security clearance required by Parliamentary authorities.
After the investigation was published, the constituency office was closed and staff formally given four weeks' notice.
The Treasury confirmed Mr O'Mara had, in recent weeks, given formal notice of his intent to resign in September.
When the BBC has visited the constituency offices, on a number of occasions, they were found to be empty.

12,000 police to manage a street carnival. Unbelievable. I'm guessing the rest of London must be a free-for-all this weekend??

Interestingly enough, it was Wilson’s Labour government in 1968 that first took away free school milk, albeit for secondary school children.
