The boss of Wetherspoons has promised to slash beer prices to an 'unbelievable low' should Britain leave the EU by October 31.
Tim Martin, 64, founder of the low-cost pub chain, has said he can 'guarantee' a drop in prices following Brexit as he will be able to get 'supplies cheaper' after the country is released from EU tariffs.
But he's warned that prices will only be lowered if we 'leave properly' and there's no 'funny stuff' from Boris Johnson - who has made a 'do or die' pledge to take Britain out of the EU later this year.
It comes as the prime minster last night promised he would enter talks with EU leaders 'with a lot of oomph' as differences between the UK and EU's position over the Withdrawal Agreement remain.
And today tweeted: 'We’re going to leave the EU on October 31st and make this country the best in the world to live in.'
Mr Martin told The Sun: 'If we leave the customs union on October 31 Wetherspoon will bring the price of beer to down to an unbelievable low.
'That's a guarantee – but we have to leave properly, Boris Johnson. No messing around with customs union or any of that funny stuff.'
Mr Johnson has promised he will deliver on his commitment to leave the European Union on October 31 - despite the recent controversy caused by a confidential Whitehall dossier which detailed the problems posed by a No Deal scenario.
The explosive revelations marked 'official-sensitive' warned that Britain will be hit with a three-month 'meltdown' at its ports, a hard Irish border and shortages of food and medicine if the UK leaves without an agreement.

He also called for an abolition of import taxes on non-EU products, which he claims would 'immediately reduce prices in pubs and shops across the country'.
Mr Martin fears protracted Brexit negotiations should Britain not leave the EU later this year, and is all for Mr Johnson's 'do or die' approach.
But he would not comment on who he would vote for in a general election. Other aspirations he has for his chain following Brexit include the possibility of setting up a branch in China.
His promise comes as Number 10 ramps up preparations for a No Deal Brexit, amid concerns from Brussels that the UK will leave without agreement.

Dopey Boris dont give a toss about the vast majority whether you are for leaving or against leaving, He is all about himself and his rich mates and about the Taxes they can keep.....And do you know what....There is still a lot of what i call the general public who believe everything he says as true. Dopey must be stopped as he is a danger to most peoples and future generations livelihoods and it will take decades if ever again we will get this country to be proud of again as millions and millions will struggle to have a decent living and we will all be under the thumb of the rich and powerful....We won't have any option but to Doff your hat and say thank you sir.......Crime will escalate to an unbelievable level....Stop Boris now and whether you like Corbyn or not you must vote for him the only one who can stop this maniac...

Fair play, but please present me with an honest list of pure as f~ck politicians who are not about themselves and are truly representing the people?

This is why I gave up on voting plus politics many years ago.

 

I would like to add that I am not a right wing or left wing fanboy. Please enlighten me and maybe I might start turning up at polling stations on voting days again
