Good Morning. It's Wednesday 21st August, and here are the Leeds Utd headlines Radrizzani open to further investment Andrea Radrizzani has been speaking to the press, and has admitted that he has received various offers to buy him out; yet the 44yo Sports Tycoon (well, nearly) would certainly consider selling off another chunk of the club as they did with the NFL giants San Francisco 49ers. “I hear a lot of rumours about me selling the club or leaving, absolutely no way,” said the Leeds chairman and owner. “Those who know me well know how much I am determined to reach my goals. “I really want to get it done and I want to achieve my goals in everything I do. “I also understand the opportunity to run this club and make this club big is massive, so I will not be afraid to open the club up to other partners if this helps the mission. “I want to be guardian and the leader of this club, but I will not have a closed mind to accept help from other parties. “In the last 18 months, we received much interest from parties to invest in the club or buy the club. I rejected all the options to buy the club because I did not want to give up. “But I will listen to anyone who wants to join me and make this club bigger. I don’t exclude that maybe soon I will open the door to one or two partners to help this club become bigger.” Is Radrizzani in it for the long term, or will he cash in if and when Leeds reach the promised land? please log in to view this image Bielsa's press conference During yesterday press conference Bielsa announced that there are injury doubts over Cooper, Douglas and Alioski. When I say injury doubts, what Bielsa means is that they are not 100% fit, and he doesn't want to take any chances this early in the season. Jamie Shackleton will start at right back, Dallas will switch to left-back and Berardi stands by. Bielsa spoke about Jansson for the first time yesterday since he made his 4m move to Griffin Park. This is what he said:- Ryan Kent goes on strike? Liverpool Whizz kid Ryan Kent was mysteriously left out of Liverpool Under-23’s 3-0 defeat against Chelsea on Monday night leading to claims that the 22yo is trying to force a move away from Anfield. Last month Kent sent a post on social media suggesting he feels the Reds are stopping him from moving forward, especially after pricing him out of a move (to Leeds). He posted a Bible passage from St Peter which reads: “And through covetousness shall they with fiend words make merchandise of you: whose judgement now of a long time lingered not, and their damnation slumbereth not”. In modern English that translates to: “In their greed teachers will exploit you with fabricated stories. Their condemnation has long been hanging over them, and their destruction has not been sleeping.” He has also deleted all images of him playing for Liverpool on Instagram. Do Leeds need him? What could he offer? please log in to view this image
Ryan Kent!!! not for me, if a young lad is going to spit the dummy out at his tender age then leave well alone, could be another Pontus in the changing room, plus all items of jewellery would have to be put in a safe with the bin dipper about
Morning all.. If Liverpool release him (Kent) and we could sign him for free, why not. I do agree with Infidel though in regards to dummy spitting and possible issues. I hope Pontus gets a decent reception, he is a strong character that clashed with Bielsa, he played well for us he did not ask to leave. In regards to the injury front, I’m against swapping three players, is Leif not fit? On the other hand Shackleton has looked very good so hopefully it should all be okay. Just like last season, when one LB goes down then so does the first choice replacement.
Morning all Ryan Kent is obviously upset that he isn't playing football, but for me he is not what we want in the dressing room. Kent is the only protege not involved in the first team,as the others who were out on loan are like Wilson. Kent isnt wanted but Liverpool want a fair price for his potential, but see that price being twice as much as we wanted to give. Nobody else offered cash so the lad will be in limbo until something changes. Will someone offer to pay £12m for him in January.... not if if he goes on strike.
Surely he’s just trying to get a loan move to Rangers? Which since Leeds didn’t buy him would make sense for both parties?
It only makes sense to Liverpool if it makes their player better and or improves his value. If has happened last season Liverpool subsidised Kents wages it would mean Liverpool paying for him to learn nothing. Liverpool think he has experienced enough to enable him to cope with playing senior football, they see him develop as far as he can go and for them thats not far enough so want to sell him and cash in. Not pay another club to use him.
Agree on that but that was the case in early August, now the window is shut in England and no one’s buying at the price they’re wanting then it’s either sell him cheaper, keep him doing nothing or loan him. Seems better for player and club to do the last? Much more chance of him selling for a decent price in January or next summer after a season of playing then just have his value drop doing nothing pissed off in Liverpool.
Why shouldn’t he spit his dummy out. He’s a young lad who isn’t wanted by Liverpool, yet they are putting a stupid price tag on him which is denying him a move away. Would you be happy playing reserve team football ? We would have taken him if it wasn’t for Liverpool and he would have been a better option than bringing Clarke back for a year.
Putting him in the U23s isn't the answer, if he's not good enough for Liverpool and they don't want to loan him out, then the highest offer is his value, same as Jannson.
Good morning everyone (looking faward to tonight) I actually feel for Ryan Kent,he is obviously itching to play first team football, which his club won’t give him and Liverpool being greedy knuts that they are, are literally holding him to ransom for 10million , surely it makes sense to loan him out to Leeds under Bielsa, to take him to the next stage, because let’s face it who would pay the asking price of 10m for an untried or tested youngster ?. If he actually had a great season or two with Leeds on loan, his Value would more realistically reach what Liverpool would want.
Liverpool value him at £12m we offered £5m and Liverpool wouldn't budge. I suspect that if Kent is still at Liverpool in January he will go for £10m. He may be bought by a team on the continent yet, but I believe he wants to stay in the North of England
Good Morning to Matt and co from a sunny Bardsey I am taking WJ and his lovely wife to the Wild Swan today to celebrate moes birthday today Kent did nothing at Bristol City when he went on loan in Scotland the opposition is very poor apart from Celtic doubt if ant Scottish club would be in the PL so having a good season there means nothing Matt said that City wanted £20m for Harrison I thought we had an agreement for £7m at the end of the season
