Thought Grosciki played very well first half, also Stewart. Concerns for me are the midfield is very hard working but for me we lack a creative midfielder. We all know our full back problems and finally we don't have many options up front so if you play Eaves i think he needs crosses to run onto. They said on sky our wingers like to go inside and are not the type of wingers to provide this and I agree. Once they scored tonight we lacked ideas after that, Bowen had a very off game and we rely on him and Grosicki to provide opportunities because we don't create enough elsewhere. Having said that tonight the game could have gone either way and how it was 0.0 at half time is beyond me. Thought their defence handled us very well.

People rubbishing Kingsley should bear in mind the badge kisser he has in front of him who refuses to track back and constantly leaves him exposed/outnumbered.

Possibly, even probably but Dicko’s best days are behind him, especially in front of goal and I would wager the new manager has gone for a cheap striker who he knows..rather than one he couldn’t afford . Whether or not he has found one is anyone’s guess but again,as far as goals scored or just as importantly assists...let’s see were we are come Christmas.

People making excuses for Kingsley should bear in mind the fact that he’s not a very good footballer.

...but still doesn’t excuse his inability to find a team mate with a pass, constantly being beat 1v1, totally outpaced & poor positioning.

Bowen and Grosicki have been asked to play high up the pitch not sure Bowen tracked back much more than Grosicki.

I though the whole back 4 were poor tonight. Bowen too and Eaves didn’t show a great deal on tonight’s showing but may come good over time...he’s definitely a punt.

We were second best all over the pitch tonight, we’ve got two great wingers, but no great strikers and there’s nowhere near enough creativity coming out of the midfield.

Plenty of others passed it badly tonight.

Agreed but they contributed something to the game...i think you’d struggle to find anything Kingsley did over the whole 90 minutes that was remotely positive.

In fairness to Kingsley I think his confidence is absolutely shot. McCann needs to take him out the firing line for his own good.

Agree about midfield. Just saying to a mate over a pint the team that got relegated from the Premier would wipe the floor with this current side but that’s about as useful as chocolate fire guard as does nothing more than reiterate the gulf between the two divisions.

Really? Grosicki tracked back today, not sure what match you were watching? A semi competent left back wouldn’t need 2-3 players covering his ****ness.

His best days weren’t great. Anything Dicko offered would have been better than we witnessed tonight, even just his work rate.

Grozzer goes through the motions of tracking back.

Never seems to catch his opponent, just runs in his wake. Amazing for a player with a nickname of Turbo.

He's been doing this ever since he joined us.

Well from your description above he’s already offered more resistance than Kingsley. I’m struggling to remember if we’ve had a left back as bad as Kingsley in recent times.

    Hard to argue.

Easy to point a finger tonight mate, yet whilst McCann has his work cut out it’s early days.

He still had the edge over Kingsley. Mike Edwards was a local lad at a time when the whole team really wasn’t great and he played still played 178 games for the club.

Blackburn looked a very decent. well drilled team. Losing 1-0 to them doesn't mean our season is over by a long chalk. They will do well this season. I thought they looked every bit as good as Sheffield United did when they came here last April/May.
Maybe Saturdays performance at Brentford took a bit more out of us then people give credit for ?
McCann is still finding his strongest team, that is obvious, and don't forget it took Adkins until November last season to hit on his best starting eleven.
Disappointing not to get a point but that's football.
