We’re pretty much back to all the same issues as this time last season, albeit at a lower level and thankfully with an early win under our belts. Our goal scoring problems, in terms of free scoring, remain as much about supply as finishing. Having said that you have to feel We are miles away from being a good side, even at this level. I can’t see any possibility of that changing unless the owner sells up. Our best hope for this season is going up via the play offs and that being the catalyst for Evans to take some action.
Phew; a draw. A point. But we’re not looking terribly solid. Judge was poor against Luton; had no desire to win possession, which is a major no no as he’s not so fantastic going forward to make up for it. Seems he’s only interested when he’s got the ball. If that doesn’t change drop him. We need bishop back badly and to pack that midfield as we’ve got so much staff in that area and only 1 decent striker, 442 seems a misfit for us tactically.
Not a bad start to the season but next 3 games will show us where we are as I believe we should be looking for 9 points from them if we are serious promotion contenders
I don’t buy this one decent striker thing. Jackson was clean through on goal and won us a pen. The problem is we need 4 or 5 options, not two. Judge is a strange one, just a lack of motivation.
The great thing about Murphy was that even when the goals weren’t coming he was giving his all, making things happen, chasing down lost causes. That’s exactly what we need in this division.
Sorry, can't comment on game as I was away in Cordoba all weekend, on the piss. Didn't see the match, can only go on your comments but from what I have seen from other 2 league games....in feel the defence is an issue still and yes we need at least one more option up top! Kenlock and Donacian are just not good enough and what I have seen of Judge, proves what I thought last season.....overrated!!!!
Well no one else is paying him anything at the moment, if we are really interested now would be a good time to approach him.
