I see Greaves and Sheaf started for Cheltenham's game against Morecambe, it finished 0-0, Greaves played the full match and Sheaf was subbed on 56 minutes.
Surprised sheaf getting a game tbh Must be some prospect then. Didn’t see much in him in the brief bits I’ve seen. All good
Not comparing him to greaves John Meant past academy lads can’t seem to get a game on loan he’s in. Good for us
There is no doubt Sheaf was well-liked by Nigel and Grant seems to rate him also. His brother who is on Arsenal books, and was actually at Donny on loan last season, seems to be even better by all accounts. However, as you say the 2 of them getting league experience is good for us.
I'm sure many on here who were present during the dire mid-late 90s will remember Mark Greaves playing for us, but was trying to think if Jacob makes a full appearance (as expected at some point) if there are any other father/son combos who have played for City? All I could come up with was Pat Heard and Jamie Heard - but then can't remember if Jamie actually made a league appearance for us or not?
Sheaf is from Kent. He is the first city player to make a senior appearance that was born in the 21st century (KLP was the second).
Never went to the Chester match. Not one of the infamous 5000 who claimed to be there. Wasn't living in Hull at the time and in truth, I ****ing hated the Autoglass Cup - although was sad enough to travel to a few away games in it previously.
Err late 70’s I reckon He’s about 58 59 now I think Did Dennis booths lad ever make a first team appearance?? Right little cock he was Not Dennis off of here obviously
