Off Topic The Burly Arms

No annoyingly I had deleted the iCloud back up to clear the phone and then dropped it in the bog on Christmas Day, was the excitement of playing Star Wars on the new PS4

 

Her photos were in the Cloud. She was all upset and wouldn't tell us why but eventually said it was because she'd lost her photos. She didn't know what the Cloud was or that there was a good chance that the photos might have been saved there. Once I'd done that I found her teary again and she said it was because her mate had said she couldn't be added to her various WhatsApp chats as she was already listed on them. So we got her mate to send a message to each of the chat groups and they then appeared on the phone.

Nothing technical, just Dad stuff. Dads know how to fix things.

PS this was all on my missus's old phone. I set up her Cloud account on it. The old ipod touch is ****ed.

 

That's annoying, however I guarantee whatever was on that device is stored somewhere. Data is worth more than gold these days so data never gets 'lost'.

Interesting documentary on Netflix called The Great Hack, it's about how data etc. is used behind our backs.

 

Got that on my watch list.

 

I am so ****ing bored. Working today over at our other office. It’s dead and like working in a goldfish bowl. Every old **** staring in at you.

It’s ok. Less coming on the market. Prices dropped a touch.

Just met up with my cousin and her family. Turns out we hadn’t seen each other for 11 years. Amazing how your life just flashes by.

 

Was it a good thing or a bad thing?

I avoid most of mine like the plaque.

 

We were close as kids but they moved to Canada. Was nice to see her and meet her kids. Just a bit surreal realising that 11 years have gone by.

 

I ain't seen many of mine for decades, guess we'll all meet when my gran actually does go, she's a stubborn cow, still kicking.
