No idea how spurs came away with a draw in that game tbh. City absolutely dominated it and should have won comfortably. First goal no defender closed down lamela and then ederson is standing miles to one side. And second goal let smallest guy on pitch head in a corner.
You won't be surprised that many people on #bbcsalford think City should be allowed to set up goals with handballs
Pep #meldown crying that Adrian came off his line in the shootout so why can't City have a handball goal? In his head.
Pochetino said he's in love with VAR. Neville said that VAR was Spurs best player. It's good that City is not running away with 12 straight wins but objectively how did Spurs get a draw here? Totally dominated but they scored 2 goals from 2 shots on target. VAR didn't give a more blatant penalty for City yet ruled out a goal because of a non deliberate hand ball. Crazy game. Football will be even more interesting this season!
It was. Came off Laporte's arm, even if it was slight and he knew little about it, it still came off his arm straight to Jesus. Its the rules this year, can't be a goal if it touches any attackers arm/hand
i know it's the new interpretation of the rules regarding goals scored but it isn't classed as handball .
not handball just the new "rule" which stated goals cannot be scored if ball makes contact with hand/arm .
An accidental ball to hand or arm is only relevant if a goal is scored. If this had occurred outside the penalty area or a goal is NOT scored, then the game carries on.
No Interpretation needed. It is the rule. Its not classed as deliberate handball, but it is classed as handball if it leads to a goal
It doesn't make it fair though. The ball brushes a player's arm on its way to another player. Who still had work to do and scores through a mass of players.
