Same in Blackpool, apart from pissing it down, the wind and October temperature.

Currently in Playa Blanca in Lanzarote. Lovely and hot. Went to Crete in May and going to Los Cristianos in October.

    Nope

    Grand Riviera

I thought we were flash enough getting a private taxi from Naples...then some ****er turned up and parked right outside our window in this!!!

    https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maltese_Falcon_(yacht)

(I had no idea what it was but it was impressive enough for me to google to try and find out how the masts work as they were side on when they’d parked it up...but it turns out that as the masts alone cost £80m to make so I’m sure they work pretty well!)

Apparently it’s for hire for €440,000 a week, but obviously it was already booked otherwise it would have come up as an option when I was looking to book the trip, shame that. (and it maybe costs more in summer holidays anyway?!)

Bloody Hell. Those slaves in the galley must be restrained by gold (or platinum) shackles & chains.
There's no bar on the crate apparently dennis. A close escape I'd say. :emoticon-0100-smile

Aye, there's some serious boatage around there.

My favourite view in the whole world is Vesuvius from Sorrento.

Enjoy the sunsets! (If you're sober enough to see them, that is).

Looks like the Italians have designed a unique wind farm there. Mind you, they did give us Volta & Marconi, so they have a high success rate in that field (no pun intended) :emoticon-0105-wink:.
Unlike their tanks with 7 reverse gears, never did catch on.

Lovely part of the world, can't believe it took me so long to discover Italy.
Have been in that neck of the woods several times in the last few years.
The Path of the Gods just around the corner from you on the Amalfi Coast is breathtaking.
Its a roughly 3 hour walk which starts in Bomerano, through to Nocelle, then down the steps down into Positano. (Positano itself is stunning, well worth a bus ride through from Sorrento).

Positano......funnily enough we bumped into a couple from Whitby here, he was a shopfitter and had worked altering Elephant and Castle on Holderness Road after it stopped being a pub. (He was actually swearing out loud at Germans barging there way onto a bus heading into Sorrento ignoring everyone else queueing).

It's important to win the toss in a game in that place. "We'll kick downhill ref, Ta."
HT 18-0. Change ends, the team down are so knackered @ half time the final score ends up 18-2.
    Looks a lovely spot mind.:emoticon-0148-yes:
