The top 10 band thread gave me an idea. Which 5 singers in world music would you love to have as your own singing voice? Here's my top 5 Paul Stanley - KISS Bruce Dickinson - Iron Maiden Rob Halford - Judas Priest Chuck Billy - Testament (early 90's preferably) Cristina Scabbia - Lacuna Coil Okay, i know the last one is a woman, but i love her voice, so it's on my list. Who would you love to be able to sing like. Anyone who mentions that floppy haired twat gets killed and eaten.
Dave Mustaines grunting vocals, Corey from Slipknots voice, Chris Barnes growling, Lord Worms amazing sound effect vocal box, Chuck Schlinder's voice also. Chuck's cover of Painkiller was epic.
Assuming I'm not going to undergo a sex change, 5 voices I'd like to be able to emulate are Nick Drake, Dean Martin, Richard Sinclair, Charles Mingus (though less singing more yelling and speech, awesome voice) and Robert Wyatt.
Chester from Linkin Park Trent Reznor from Nine inch nails Jared Leto from 30 seconds to mars James Hetfield from Metallica Anthony Keidis from red hot chilli peppers (if im in a funky mood) Hayley Williams (sorry just love her voice so included her)
Lenny kravitz serj tankian Ian brown Beenie Man Ludacris alittle different to the lists above, but each to their own xD

I aint got no top five, there is only one person I want a voice like... please log in to view this image
George Formby
Here it goes: Stevie Wonder (Legend) Marvin Gaye (Legend) Michael Jackson (Legend) Craig David (proper slick and swag) Leona Lewis (thought I'd pick a female singer... shes got some pipes and not bad to look at too)
While I love Megadeth, Mustaine can't sing to save his life. I'd like to think I can do a decent attempt at any style but if I had to chose how to sound like it would be Freddie Mercury. What a voice that man had.
