Luton won't be looking forward to their second visit during August to play the mighty Bluebirds. Mind you our record in cup competitions isn't great so perhaps they are.....................
Chance for the squad members to get a game. If they’re still here Tomlin & Madine maybe. Just a thought. Connelly might get a start. Someone would have to show him directions to the pitch.
Connolly had an ankle operation during the summer and won't be available until October - that's why he didn't leave in the summer window.
Not important at all, concentrate on the league, let the fringe players have a game. If we win, we win and happy days. .. Glorious Luton! Such a wonderful town! ......... please log in to view this image
6 players made debuts so far? That leaves 3 that need to get their first game. Give Day another run out and a couple youngsters. Would be worth keeping some combinations together to build relationships (pack and the 2 CBs; Glatzel, Murphy and NML/Whyte)) and trying a few combinations. Maybe Vassel off Glatzel, or Tomlin off Glatzel. Saying that, what's the bet Colin starts with Madine?
Team for Luton: Day Coxe Brown Nelson Morrison Bacuna Tomlin Whyte Vaulks Ward Madine or Vassell Still time to offload the non-goal machine to Div. 1 or 2 club even if we have to pay half his wages.
Was thinking of a few more 1st teamers in there myself blue. Day Coxe Morrison Nelson Bennett Pack Vaulks Hoillet Vassell Whyte Glatzel
As we set out on what we hope will be our next cup run, here's a look back to the last match of our 2008 cup run. Great memories, but ultimately disappointment. Proud of the lads though. Wish I had bought that shirt
The local journo’s suggested possible X1. https://www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/much-changed-cardiff-city-xi-16818779
Well, if we're not going to take the competition seriously, we may as well go out at the first hurdle eh? Really annoys me as our two cup finals are two of my favourite memories of my time supporting the club being as they were so completely unexpected. Far more memorable than any Premier League match... even wins v the Jacks, Citeh and Man Ure at Old Trafford. Whatever happened to clubs looking for glory rather than cash? I for one never grew up dreaming of playing for the richest club in the world. Nope, my playground / park kick about dreams all revolved around winning goals in Cup Finals... Sigh....
Poor effort again at home.....Warnock gone to sleep this season by the look of it and just happy to take his wages....
No excuses at all. This is happening season after season. The fans who paid tonight deserved better. Warnock has gone down in my estimation. But not as much as the pitiful players wearing the bluebird shirt tonight.
Glad I didn't waste time and money going. Sounds like an absolute shambles and an insult to loyal fans. Warnock selected the team. He is responsible for the terrible performance. I never thought I would say this but unless there is a marked improvement on Friday, Warnock should start clearing his desk before the season goes to the dogs.
