For me it's not a case of chastising or being chastised, it's about being realistic. They say some stupid and offensive things. They do some stupid and offensive things. They are clueless about the things most fans care about. They don't do apologies and may well not even realise there is anything to apologise for. They epitomise many modern football club owners for the above reasons. It puzzles me why so many can't see this. and expect any radically different outcomes. .
I don't see that as been a trait of modern owners I'm not sure people are expecting much from the Allams at this point , we know what they're like some people still go and some won't go back until we have new owners As for new owners who knows but they will be given a chance and we'll see
I don't see the necessary contingent link between 'liking the owners' and attending games. I don't like my team being sponsored by an African betting company, I don't like sharing the KCOM with a second rate rugby team, I don't like the council, but hey ho.....
Perhaps the indoor pitches air dome the club are building at Bishop Burton makes the Airco Arena redundant ? But of course some will interpret otherwise.
So is that:- - ****, facts can be so inconvenient sometimes. They spoil the fun. or - Urika, what you said is factually incorrect ?
Aren’t you saying the same thing? Airco isn’t what they need so bubble built at Bishop Burton Bubble dome at Bishop Burton makes Airco redundant Circular argument (actually, surprisingly for here it doesn’t even seem to be an argument?)
old man Allam wants his MBE/ knighthood before he pops his clogs - he realises that acting like a **** at HCAFC, negates his philanthropic charitable/ I want a gong donations --- it will be interesting to see just how much he thinks he needs to do to reverse the **** effect
The Airco arena did its job at that time to tick the necessary boxes for the Academy Grade 2 status or what ever it is called. I think the bubble pitches are a couple of notches above those facilities so the trampoline club etc can move back and hopefully pay some rent this time.
The bubble pitch at Bishop Burton was available to City at the time everyone was kicked out of the Airco and was what should have happened. It’s just one of the many unnecessary ****-up’s that are now being reversed (too late). The trampoline club have made other arrangements and have told City to shove it.
They haven't built the bubble yet. Planning permission was only granted recently. So don't know where you get your info from ?
Realistically, it's not that puzzling. When people such as the Allams or other modern football club owners behave in the way that the you describe, their 'customers' decide to do take their custom elsewhere.
Yes. Some of the less sheep like at Man Utd set up their own football club (FC United of Manchester), and similar ovine less at Liverpool didn't go quite as far, but set up the Spirit of Shankly supporters group.
I wonder why the honours you mention have not been bestowed upon him? Its not as if Her Majesty could fail to recognise the benefactor whose name adorns the building, the picture covering half the left hand entrance wall was a bit of a clue. Probably done to avoid the embarrassment of being asked "and which one of these is you" as she perused the opposite wall covered with six panels listing some other two hundred donors.
