    Too true mate, was thinking the same , this was a time when I was too young to go to the game on my own and had to rely on my old man or one of his mates to take me, draw back was I had to stand out side the boozer for an hour after the games to let the " crowd" die down
    I don't remember that forward line playing very often, was it about the time Chivers done his ACL ?

    No, because I had a young baby by then so gave up long distance supporting. Still done all the London games though 'cos good old Mum would babysit! Loved all those players.... COYS...

    I was. I remember being in the line behind Ken Wostenholme awaiting our train with United loons looking for trouble. Oh those bovver boot days of the 60's.

    They couldn't even get close to winning the old 1st Division when it had zero foreign players. Mid table at best now!
