Funny that, was one of my very best. Worst moment, seeing Alumunia bundle the ball into his own net against Barca in the CL final 2006. Giggs scoring THAT semi final goal to break our hearts. I wasn't at those games though. I think one of the worst moments being at a game was losing to Derby at home in 1989 with Dean Saunders scoring a pen, remember leaving Highbury that day and everybody thinking we'd blown our chance of a first title in 20 years, but then as Skylarker said ......

Lol! You boys, with your tales of misery and woe. This is what it’s like being a Spurs fan all the time! Mind you, it’s worse being a Gooner right now.
Two stories that have nothing to do with us at all and you're slagging us off. Coventry played Bristol city when they drew to relegate you, you dopey twat. You've hated us for years, because of a game that we weren't involved in!
How could I forget the '91 cup semi-final v Forest and Gale's red card. It took Hackett 24years to apologize for that **** show, the ****. It was one of my proudest days too, Forest 4-0 up but you couldn't hear anything other than 'Billy Bonds's claret and blue Army.
Thankfully in my lifetime I've not seen us relegated so anything I've experienced can't be as bad as some on here. Losing some finals have hurt, the most recent one obviously being the CL but weirdly enough the one that hurt me the most was losing to Utd in the League Cup final about a decade ago. The year before I'd gone to Wembley and seen us win it against Chelsea, that was the first final I went to live and the experience was amazing. To then go to the very same fixture the following season but then suffer the heartbreak of losing on penalties showed the other side of the final, felt ****ing ****. Since then I've also seen us lose about five semi finals and two other finals (one being the CL as earlier stated , albeit I didn't get to go to that after missing out by six ****ing points). Fun times, man, fun times.
I’ve got Skiddy chasing up posts from 2012 because of my earlier post on here Getting all number of notifications
That Italy Sth Korea game was magic, a house mate, who was the tightest money grubber you'll ever meet, had about £15k of bets on the world cup, and each one had France in them, so he lost the lot. He tried to get his losses back with a huge bet on Italy. It was so ****ing funny.
2006 Champions League final. Nothing comes close to that. Was absolutely crushed after the final whistle. I don't think I'm over it to this day. There have been a number of low points though. 2-2 draw against Birmingham in 2008, which effectively ruined our title challenge. The League Cup final loss of 2011 to Birmingham (man, these ****ers have really caused us some pain lol) was embarrassing and humiliating. Not just because of the cup final loss itself, but because it triggered an absolutely cataclysmic end to the season where we bottled the league, FA Cup and Champions League. The 2010-11 season had promised so much and we ended up with nada. After Welbeck's last-gasp winner vs Leicester in 2016, losing 3-2 to Man United reserves and 2-1 at home to relegation-threatened Swansea ended the best chance we had of winning a title for ages. We will never get a better opportunity to win the league ever again. Horrible. I was extremely young at the time, but the 2001 FA Cup final was a kick in the teeth. Leading the game heading into the final 10 minutes. Then two late Michael Owen goals from nowhere sealed the trophy for Liverpool. Getting knocked out of the Champions League quarter-finals by Chelsea in 2004. Having beaten them home and away in the league, knocked them out of the FA Cup, and drawing at Stamford Bridge in the CL QF first leg, I really thought we had a great chance of winning the Champions League that year. Nope. Of all players, Wayne facking Bridge crushed our hopes of European glory. There are soooo many more, particularly in the last decade, but these are just some of the worst ones that hurt.
Spurs fans still celebrate that. Which tells you everything about their trophy haul. So it kinds of makes this a bit more bearable.
Was May 1977, Coventry were home to Bristol City, kicked off 10 mins late, we were away to Everton.. Biggest ever fix in football, Jimmy ****ing Hill the pointy faced ****..
Probably the "Demolition Derby" in 2005 when the Skates destroyed us at Nottarf or rather our team bottled it like a bunch of scared kids in an admittedly extremely hostile atmosphere which was probably the beginning of the end of our hopes of staying up that season. Oh and their version of that ****ing Tony Christie song still gives me shivers.
