I was sent to a child psychiatrist for assessment and it was a total waste of time. He just sat there playing with plasticine and eating wax crayons.

That is 100% correct. I knew the marketing chap and he came up with the name, plus had the away kit (or part of the home kit) in the colour teal, which was the in thing, according to Burtons and the Man at C&A. Lloyd came shortly afterwards and Wilby came with his own brown paper bag.

In May 2008 I met loads of people who booked for the once in a lifetime trip to Wembley. Plenty of partners came along too

    Fair play -who wouldn't?

The emotions that day were unrepeatable, it can never be owt like that again.

Fast forward a few months and we're getting a 0-5 drubbing by Wigan - a whole new ball game for those who thrive on adrenaline and the euphoria of victory.

For those used to tv football, the cold, the rain, the nil nils etc are not appetising and the novelty soon wore off.

I look at SUFC getting that draw at Bonemuff and Boscombe on Saturday, the utter delirium.

Enjoy it while it last ladies......the novely of those **** sunday kick off times south of London and the defeats will start to toll, if not in the first season, then certainly the second.

It’s important to remember in this debate that it’s not the fault/responsibility of previous supporters whether they come back or not

Whilst some who were here in the PL won’t come back until we are in the PL again there are large amounts of supporters that aren’t here due to a drip drip of ‘policies’ that the owners introduced from the name change, to the removal of concessions.

Those supporters aren’t duty bound to hover on the sidelines ready to immediately come back just a soon as the owners begrudgingly turn the particular drip off that tipped them over the edge into not coming anymore.

It’s up to the club to figure out how to start again and bring new fans, and some old ones, back into the fold. It’s not good enough to just change some things almost back to where they used to be...it’s their ****ing job to convince people to come.

Kids for a quid etc etc. Whatever the answer is it’s not good enough to throw their hands up in exasperation that everyone hasn’t come flocking back. Whatever the solution it’s the responsibility of the clubs custodians to find it

Best post on here for a very long time.
Would also add, those who don't go currently, shouldn't be chastised by those who currently do <- which in itself is another result of the Allams actions and no one else.

I'd also add - those who are going shouldn't be chastised by those who don't ..... we're all adults (or most of us) and do what's right for us.

The existing owners I feel will never find the solution/s. Last Saturdays gate highlighted that unfortunately

Oh sorry, just thinking aloud, may be if they f**ked off, that might just work

Telling / insight comment from the lady behind the evicted trampoline club on RH just now. Something along the lines of 'we told them the arena wasn't suited to their needs, and they now know it isn't'.
Meaning, make no mistake, the Allams are only planning on returning the arena to it's original community use because it now suits them to do so. Nothing to do with an about turn from the Allams, no changing their 'doing what's right for me' mentality, no admitting they were in the wrong and wanting to put right previous wrongs (and for me this was right up there with the worst of their despicable acts, if not even at the top).
Unfortunately some will, and will be allowed to, interpret otherwise.

To be fair, if you've been going, it's pretty much a given you're a non-disabled adult under pensionable age. <ok>
