Per the BBC: Swansea City hope to find out on Friday whether Jefferson Montero's proposed loan move to Birmingham City will be sanctioned by the Football League. Birmingham agreed to sign the Ecuador winger, 29, on a season-long loan prior to Thursday's transfer deadline. But the deal is in doubt due to an issue with the paperwork. With his Swansea contract up next summer, Montero's time at the Liberty will effectively be over if the Birmingham transfer goes through. Swansea have been looking to move the former Villarreal player on as he is one of their higher earners. Montero made 84 Swansea appearances, scoring twice, after joining from Mexican side Morelia in 2014. He enjoyed some memorable moments in a Swansea shirt but struggled with injury throughout his time at the club. Montero spent the second half of last season on loan at West Bromwich Albion after loan stints at Getafe and Ecuadorian club Emelec in 2017-18. A move to Birmingham would see Montero reunited with former Swansea assistant manager Pep Clotet, who is the Blues' caretaker head coach.
Well atm we're spoiled for striker options with Baston Ayew Surridge with Celina coming in fro deep postions along with Byers Routledge Grimes Dyer all being able to contribute I'm confident we'll score more than concede , well that's my theory
Here’s one who’s gone out on loan: https://www.swanseacity.com/news/courtney-baker-richardson-makes-accrington-loan-switch
I think Monty will do well at Brum if they get him imo....He did well at the beginning for us but then his performances went cold...I liked him as he has good potential but his wages is an issue but after saying that it will only be for one season anyway so i dont care whether he moves on or not...
There are still a lot of good players out there unattached if the **** hit the fan. either clubs don't rate them or they are asking for ridiculous money and being greedy bastards. I see Bony training at Newport. I know some will say that is his level now. Ashley Williams still has no club, would you give him a year if the price was right.
I wouldn’t give Ash another year. The Club has moved on and we should be looking to the future rather than see Ash trying to relive his past glories
I understand, but my point is we have for me a shortage at centre back, one senior player and 2 youngsters, not sure if we suffered an injury to VDH I would be worried, Can we use the loan market.
We can but hope..... https://mobile.footballghana.com/ex...le-set-to-resign-andre-ayew-from-swansea-city
Yes hopefully its true.Perhaps his agent can see there's no money to be had hanging around Swansea so could he be pushing for a deal,
This is more like it, that's why I want him gone, we can do without his petulance in the dressing room............
It'll be interesting if he does play tonight but I doubt it ,I can't imagine he fits in with Coopers' long term plans
