Hi Pete, as that one was guessed fairly quickly can I ask another one from a similar era? It's still Monday after all. What was unusual about Brian Clark's goal v. Millwall at Ninian in December 1968? For another point name the Millwall player involved.
Correct. Nearly. It was a bitterly cold day and the pitch was nearly frozen. King had a blinder and was keeping us out. However he had struggled with goal kicks the whole game. Clarkie recognised this and stood on the edge of the area. King hit another poor one and Clarkie headed back over him in front of the Grange. I've never seen that since. Very unlikely with today's heated pitches. Might happen at Derby. Tosh got a typical far post header soon after to seal the game.
Scull....you only get the point because I have only just got on here. I remember it like yesterday.....and I also think both Clarkie and Tosh were wearing trainers since studs were never going to hold on that surface.
loved this thread, some great stats and knowledge . New to the forum and look forward to joining future quizzes!
beat me to it scull. And to be fair, give him the average number of points scored by everyone to date. Rounded down, its about 0.
