Very clever actually. Turning a loss into a profit by selling a 40 million ground for 80 million to the man who already owned it. Genius.

I think it's all to do with the fact he is a player/manager so his wages are fully under the player only rule so they can pay him the higher rate... I've read that they are only claiming under the FFP 50% of his paid wage...

I know we have a few Gooners who are regular posters. Just wondered how many of think your team's shortcomings in central defence have just been cured by the signing of Mr Luiz from Chelsea? A reported £8 million fee. Question is did Arsenal pay Chelsea the 8 mill or vice versa?

It's expected to be announced today that the Ruiz - Joshua return bout will be in the Middle East. The Telegraph has stated that Ruiz will put 3 of his 4 titles ( WBA, IBF & WBO) on the line in Riyadh on December 7. Saudi Arabian sports entities have reportedly put up close to US$100,000,000.

So unless the IBO strip him of his title, Ruiz will still be a champion even if he loses. Nice move by his team.

Whispering Death... What a bloke. Just love his commentary with that laid back Jamaican twang, and his mischievous questions to something he has against in the game... Oh, and a very classy cricketer, though I never saw him live, I bet he frightened the bejaysuz out of the batters at times...!!

Yeah, just read that Oddy… I guess the selectors have an issue when it comes to selecting who is going now...

In 1948 an Australian team led by Bradman cut a swathe through the English country side. After winning 25 and drawing 8 games from 33 matches, the team earned the nickname, The Invincibles. They played 6 days a week over a 144 day period. Their status in Australia is much revered. He's still the youngest player to score a century for Australia.

The reason for mentioning the above relates to a guest who is following the tour. He's a very important and much feted guest. He's the wonderful Neil Harvey, the last living member of that great team. He's 90 years of age and is in fine fettle. The clip below shows the left handed a decade later.

I read about the Aussie Neil Harvey after googling our very own Neil Harvey Fairbrother a while ago now, one of my favourite players from the Lancashire Cricket team, where I was lazy and only put the first two names in of the Lancy player.

A fine cricketer, very attacking from what I remember reading about him, great fielder and foil to the main man, The Don. Lovely footage that Cyc, I hope he has a great tour, though maybe not with the result he would like...<laugh>

    Dear England Selectors,

Jason Roy is not an opening batsman for test matches. Thank you.
