cheer up lads youll give us all a good laugh Tuesday 4 points after playing 2 crap sides aint that bad....ok maybe dropping 2 home points to Forest who lost last week is that bad I am sure WJ will appear soon blaming the ref of course
Wigan away, we win there every game. When do we play nillwall, if I remember last season right, they don't like playing us.
what are you like pumpernickel we gifted you 3 points and then took 2 off Sheff Utd so you would go up oh wait a minute that's like 5 points we helped you with and ?
Definitely a crooked ref in your game today!! 1) Philips - definite straight red - only yellow 2) Forshaw trying to cheat a pen - no yellow - should have been then he'd have been off with 2nd yellow with 10 mins to go 3) Bamford - another blatant dive without a yellow. About time these cheating coonts got sorted.out
All the frustrations of last season were evident once again. We dominated the game failing to turn our dominance into goals & there is always the fear we will gift or concede a soft goal as was the case once again. Forest broke into ER & stole a point Positives Pablo's superb finish Klich's pass Phillips passes down the channels & the long pass for Bamford's lob Our usual style/control of play We created chances Our two young loanees Harrison & White continue to impress. The improvement of Dallas Costa looked lively Kiko's distribution Douglas better today Negatives We should have won Missed chances, we need to kill games off Forest's scruffy equaliser No clean sheet Less effective when Harrison was subbed Alioski looks rusty Poor referee Ratings 7 Casilla 7 Dallas 8 White 7 Cooper 7 Douglas 8 Phillips 8 Hernandez 7 Forshaw 7 Klich 8 Harrison 7 Bamford Subs 6 Alioski 7 Costa
I’ve had this debate countless times with people. You will have people argue that if you don’t take your chances then it’s nothing to do with luck, but reality is it’s both in my view 1. Inefficiency in terms of consistently not taking chances, or consistently not putting in a quality balls when they’re needed, isn’t luck, it’s quality of player. you could say the team are unlucky because they deserved better but if you have an inherent flaw in taking chances is that luck? 2. But on any given day, there’s bounce of the ball, decisions going against you, opposition striker shinning one in, your’s shinning one wide - or a mistake. That’s luck (though mistakes could be attributed to player quality). Individual games are often decided on luck. It should balance out over a season. Doesn’t always. Last year we played the best football in the league, dominated most games but fell foul of both 1 and 2 in my view. Bielsa plays a brand of football that values possession and the philosophy of team play over individuals. By default, we pin teams back with the ball and with the press when we don’t have it... so we always operate in tight spaces making it harder to break teams down. The opposition will have fewer chances but often better ones as they have space to exploit in transition. Additional point is we are a small side, because we value ball players over grunt - that gives us an intrinsic disadvantage at set pieces. So, it’s inevitable we will statistically dominate games without always winning them. So a long answer! A shorter one would be, in my view, some luck, some inherent flaws.
Wrong page, this isn't the millwall one, Millwall is the one that makes the Goby desert look crowded.
