pre season friendlies scored 13 goals conceeded 5
drew with Oxford lost to northampton and beat four non league teams.
they have a virtually new team with 11 players leaving and 12 players coming in.
the midfielders Boateng and Houghton have got on the scoring sheet and seem useful , the forward who seems to have done well in match reports is Asoganyi
MkDons first league game was cancelled so they have had extra traing during the week.
the pattern of how town play seems to have become established, it would be nice if we could start more brightly and see more of the wing backs.
towns midfield need to work on there comunication and we dont wont a repeat of the portsmouth game were they were able to walk through the midfield by expoliting the spaces.
i hope we see some balls on the ground for Ferjiri

This is a rare event where we have to opening games one after another!

Mk Dons are always a pain in the butt for us. Our defence looks solid and hopefully midfield have had some training to beef their plan up a bit, and Okenabirhie has a better link up with Morison!

i agree about the MKDons and the areas we need to work , still it is early days and i just hope with more training and game time these areas will improve.
as always with away games we need to silence the home crowd, so getting a good start is vital.

promising strong winds through the course of the game as town like the long ball , it will be intresting to see how that works out.

It could be an interesting match with the wind, saying that the whole league will be in the same situation.

A poor game with few clear-cut chances and both teams largely cancelling each other out. We can have few complaints despite the very late scruffy goal against us as they pushed us back for most of the second half. Giles put in a few decent low crosses and Edwards worked their keeper with a long-range shot but we created nothing apart from that and I do wonder where the goals are going to come from in this team. Whalley's talents are wasted playing in a front two and I think we should try him at right wing back again given that the back three look pretty solid. If Udoh is not ready to play in this league yet we need another striker asap. The centre midfield looked pedestrian in the second half and we need Laurent and Norburn in there when they are fit. Overall a disappointing day against a team that was eminently beatable if we were on our game and lets hope for more creativity when we play Rochdale next week.
