According to Bristol Live the Al-Qadi family are in advanced talks with a UK consortium over the sale of the club. The talks are in an advanced stage with the purchase of the fruit market central to the take over plans with the next 2 or 3 weeks a critical phase of negotiations.

Buckle Up people, here we go again with another club buy out and new stadium plan !

It will be interesting to see eventually who this consortium consists of, ' experts in inner city developments' doesn't exactly smack of footballing men to me but hey ho what does that matter in these days of the 'mega business'.

As long as it doesn't affect the playing squad...

Couldn't be worse than Al-Qadi really, he didn't seem to know much about football or do much for the club.
The expectations were great in the beginning but never materialised.

According to Alistair Durden's report on Points West they appear to be in property but is was said that there was football knowledge in place in the consortium

Are you sure its not Ginsters?
Ahead of the new season, Bristol Rovers are delighted to announce that Ginsters of Cornwall – the nation’s favourite pasty maker – will be coming on board as our new pasty supplier. Head of Catering, Andy Lilley said: “We are delighted to bring a national brand like Ginsters on board. The investment into the infrastructure will undoubtedly improve our ability to provide the best possible service to our supporters on a matchday.”

I have a funny feeling Higgs is involved in this and I also reckon Wael will still want to be involved on the board too.

CJS If Higgs is involved I cant see Wael being allowed to stay on as the rumours were that when Wael and his family took over the club Higgs and a couple of the directors wanted to continue their involvement and Wael and family said no
