The stat that shows how Bristol City's transfer business has caught eyes across the Championship
The Robins had a busy deadline day

Bristol City's transfer business appears to have caught the eye in the betting market.

The Robins splashed the cash over the summer, breaking their transfer record by signing Chelsea's Tomas Kalas.

City also signed Kasey Palmer and Jay Dasilva from the Blues, whilst Han-Noah Massengo, Adam Nagy and Benik Afobe also signed in eye-catching deals.

Some Robins supporters are concerned about their defence after the departure of Adam Webster to Brighton & Hove Albion but it does not seem to have dissuaded punters.

Betting aggregator Oddschecker reports that nine per cent of bets in the Championship promotion market have backed City to go up, which has sent their price crashing.

Earlier in the window, the Robins were not often ranked among the favourites to go up, despite just missing out on the play-offs last season.

However, their transfer activity has seen a number of bets come in for them.

Proof in the pudding is in the eating, I'll wait a while before passing judgement and dream of better things to come.

Problem with that is, if we don't do anything this season, we will lose our best players AGAIN....and so it goes on..
It seems nowadays, you only get one season to gel your players into a side that will earn promotion..
Success and wages attracts the decent players to come and stay......
I don't have the answer, just hope LJ does!!!

We aren’t a Leeds , WBA etc therefore we attract young players that aren’t up to their standards or PL yet who know they will get game time with us and have the opportunity to become good enough to progress to those clubs, that’s their incentive to come to us, we get players with potential at a lower cost we then sell them for a tidy profit .
This model works to get us to the level we are at but to progress further is tough because once we have players capable of progressing us to the next level they move on, you can’t blame them when it’s our pitch to get them here in the first place.
