I've considered this, but as Phil has said, any card will be registered in the UK. The other option I'm considering is that I have family in the Philippines - which is also a 'dark market'. I could get a family member to open an account and pay for a game. I could then set my VPN to the Philippines and log into that account and hopefully watch the game. I would then just transfer money to said family members account. I may try it for a single game to see how it goes - I think there is an option to pay for a single game. Thing is, by the time you've paid for the VPN - most decent ones seem to work out around £10/month and then the cost of the game it can start to add up for what is essentially a single camera stream with poor commentary.
We can't now rely on Swansea Sound any more for the radio commentary and the less said about BBC carduff the better
Used to post as nosugarman but because of health problems I haven't for a while. This is why I have not renewed my season for the first time since the early 60's Returned home from hospital in time for the championship and have seen all the games on TV as well as the Hull game on the Swans website. Leeds look the best team but based on our second half display against Hull I think we are as good as any of the other teams I have seen including Derby. The Chairman, Manager and all background staff are experienced football men and this is a positive thing and gives me hope for the coming season as does the signing of the loan players who are all young and will probably give of their best to impress for their future. Not going to predict the score as we don't know how the team will gel but hoping for at least a point against Derby..
Phil here Your idea is sound, let us know how it works if you try it I'm using NordVPN and they seem to have a permanent "offer" running that works out something like £3 a month currently. They get a lot of stick on TrustPilot but I've had no problems using them for the last few years. Speeds are decent and the odd server slows down but it's easy to connect to another if it happens. The Android app is good too. No VPN is going to be perfect anyway, it's sometimes a game of catch-up as I alluded to in my previous post.
I've just purchased a 1 month subscription to Nord actually just to try the Swans TV idea. It's already working fine with Netflix as I can watch Netflix USA through it. SORRY DAIMUNDGEEZER - I thought it was Phil who mentioned about the card thing....
Issue I had with Nord is that they didn’t have an app for the Firestick. Used ExpressVpn which worked great
I know how you feel aswan Way below understanding computer knowledge myself and have to ask Grandchildren to help..
I have put NordVPN on my Firestick....... Netflix USA won't play on it though, however it will play on my mac. Just discovered a flaw in my plan though - Nord don't seem to be offering the Philippines as a location. D'oh! ExpressVPN does have servers there though......
Honestly, I would and will but there's so many Saturdays in a season where I can't make it I need to have an online option.
