Pontus was a toting up process IMO, think Bielsa had had enough of his attitude, and Roofe was just a case of the club not wanting to pay the wage he wanted. You have to remember that Bielsa made Roofe last season, his form before Bielsa wouldn't have justified a pay rise.

Don't think we'll get to see much of Nketiah against Forest tomorrow. Reckon he'll get his first start on Tuesday against Scum City and it'll be interesting to see how he gets on.

To me this £3M a season loan deal without a purchase option is a huge gamble for a club that's supposedly watching the pennies. Not for Arsenal though, for them it's a win win.

Wonder what the situation is if he picks up a long term injury. Can we send him back? Or do we get stuck with treating another club's player yet again.

No we can't send him back, and they can't take back if he scores 30 by Christmas, it's the risks of football.

Where do you think he'll fit in Chesh? A case of either him or Bamford but not both?

If both fit, one will be on the bench, if he's as good as People say, Bamford will be on the bench. But either way, great to bring on as defenders tire.

Have to say looking at those lists, there's no team that I'm envious of because we didn't get any of those players.

There's no guarantees in football, but if you don't try, or take the chance, your going no where for sure.We are in the race this season, rejoice.

Its a gamble that would have paid off last season if we took Harry Wilson. We didn't so Derby did. We would have been top if we had him.

Fortunately it didn't work out for Derby :emoticon-0136-giggl worked out for Liverpool though, got back a better, more experienced player and his valuation has probably quadrupled.

If a player like Nketiah scores the goals to take us up and connects with the club and fans, he may feel his career will be better served playing for Leeds in the Prem than sitting on the bench at Arsenal next year.

If he goes back, we’ll have the cash to buy an alternative as Villa do this year.

First things first, let’s get ourselves up there. <ok>

Would've been a great investment. Bielsa really wanted him, and under his guidance would only have improved.

Approximately £5M spent on an appreciating asset who would be a Leeds player from day one, as opposed to gambling £3M on a player who will never be ours.

One thing is patently obvious given the changes in football, we must get out of the Championship this season regardless of how much we may enjoy the competitive nature. Were far too reliant in selling to try fund the club. Not blaming anyone, its just a fact. Villa are a completely different club since winning the play off. Virtually a new team
