Couldn’t agree more.... poor window regardless of Schaar signing.... we are and still will suffer the Reed reputation and if we do get rid of a few permanently, we’ll end up paying through the nose if we spend in January....
You really dislike the dude, and at least a large part of it is due to off-the-pitch stuff. So you're disparaging his character and just kind of making personal attacks. And for all I know those attacks are warranted. You don't seem like a guy who would go off on someone unjustifiably. But the rest of us aren't as ITK so we really can't confirm some of the things you said, and no doubt you've heard other things that color your view which you have not shared, and there's probably been some posts on the topic I missed. From the outside, it seems like maybe Austin's had some bad luck with injuries. From the inside, those injuries occur because Austin isn't training properly. From the outside, Stephens just looks kinda sucky and has disappointingly failed to improve despite a promising start. From the inside, it's because Austin is a bad influence on him. So yeah, a lot of times when I read your posts-- particularly about Austin-- I have to remind myself that you are privy to information that I am not. Otherwise I'd think you were just scapegoating him as well.
You are correct there is more than one side to Charlie Austin, like most people. You read some crap from people on these forums even though they usually dont know the guys personally. All this rubbish about him leading Jack Stephens astray, if anything Stephens needs to grow up a bit. Charlie scored a few crucial goals for Saints and he did like playing for us, but its all went down hill a bit at the end. Good luck to him at WBA ... and even better luck to Saints this season.
I better go and check the neighbours. I thought the bang I heard was the transfer window slamming shut, but it might just be poor old Doris.
Oh dearie me. You criticised him incessantly for on-field as well. I'm not going to look it up (you criticised me last time I pointed out how regular your criticism was) but I recall matches where literally your only posts were about how bad he was. You had an absolute downer on the bloke and it affected your judgment. And when it's pointed out you throw your toys out of the pram and accuse me of loving him so much I'll follow him to another club. As it happens, I'm happy to see him go. But because he's not good enough. Not because I have a personal vendetta against him. Hot tip, mate, life's full of shades of grey. People are rarely out and out villains (or heroes). Vin
Never scapegoated a player in my life and never will. I just call it how I see it, if a player plays poorly I will say. I would never abuse them on the pitch and send them abuse online as that is being a dickhead. I hope now Austin has gone Stephens can improve. I also wish Austin luck and hope he sorts his drinking out.
