So many conflicting Dybala reports. Some now saying we’re going for a €16m loan and will sort out the image rights in due course.
News just in...live images of Levy responding to news that Juventus have pulled out of the Dybala deal
There window still has another week or so to run...it's just a bollocks excuse... News just in...images of Pochettino hearing about the Juventus email re the ending of the Dybala transfer are just in...
Seems Mandzukic is staying at Juve as well now. Glimmer of hope that the loan deal could still be a possibility?
Wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if United have offered Juve £70m for Mandzukic - which will appear as 'undisclosed' - in return for them scuppering the Dybala move.
FFS this is doing my head in!! Can we just at least announce someone?! Or do we have to wait until gone 5 before any news comes through?!
Can't see that working tbh. Having him and Ndombele in a 2 man midfield is just asking for us to be caught out with both high up the pitch, leaving us with no midfield, we'd be much better with Lo Celso playing further up the pitch, or giving him more freedom and defensive cover in a 3 man midfield. I expect we'll start with at least one of Sissoko, Winks and Dier in all our games just to anchor us a bit and free up Ndombele to bring things forward more, which is what he's best at.
So many rumours swirling around Re Dybala. Could be any or none of the following reasons: 1) Image rights (could be resolved via a loan but Juve want money up front in order to sign a replacement). 2) Agents fees (aka 'blood money for doing sweet FA fifty-one weeks of the year') 3) Player wages (aka 'I had a meeting with United now I think I deserve £350k per week because they have more money than brains) 4) Juve want a replacement lined up first (I personally doubt this given they've already agreed a fee with us. Lukaku heading to Inter has freed up Icardi for a transfer but Juve could easily afford him with the money from us and would be strengthening a direct rival.) I hope we don't gamble away the remaining 3 hours on this. If the answer as it stands right now is 'not happening', we should accept it and move on to try one more time for Fernandes.
Is anyone else starting to get slightly nervous about the Lo Celso and Sessegnon deals, seeing we only have just over 3 hours left to complete these signings?
Thought there would be something by now. I'll be back in an hour or so, can you guys get your acts together by then and give me some better news.
Even if they do them the club won't announce them until midnight. I'm replacing track rod ends to pass the time.
I think Sissoko will start initially whilst Ndombele and Lo Celso bed-in but in time I’d like to think that’ll be the main CM partnership. I can’t see Spurs spending £120m on these two without the idea of them becoming the first choice pairing in time. Ndombele would play the Dembele box-to-box role whilst Lo Celso would be more of a playmaker. If Fernandes joined he’d play in front of them being the one looking to add goals along with Harry/ Son/ Lucas/ Alli/ Lamela. In most games we should dominate the midfield with those two and so I don’t think someone like Dier/ Sissoko would be a huge necessity. In the games where we face top opposition in which the midfield battle will be more intense, that’s where I think a 433 would work in which Dier/ Sissoko can act as the muscle in the side whilst one of Fernandes/ Lo Celso sit out. If we don’t sign Fernandes/ Dybala though, then I think a 433 will be used full time.
Nope. They’ll happen. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re already done and it’s just down to the club to announce them.
If I had a pound for every time I've hit refresh today, I'd be able to buy Juventus. The whole club. And send Dybala to Spurs on a free.
