Pollock got away with it, so it seems did you. Take a photo & ship it off to the National Gallery - you never know.
I was meaning they will continue spending money every week going to games. I often disagree with Al Rawdah but admire his commitment which involves a lot of travelling just to get to home games and goes to all the away games as well.
I understand. It's admirable that through thick and thin people remain loyal supporters. It's frustrating often, but the highs can be worth it. I just don't understand why some decry those who chose not to follow the same route and need to know a reason why. Freedom of choice should be sacrosanct.
I would have stopped attending if the name changed. For me that would be the end of Hull City, and the start of some Frankenstein club created on the egotistical whim of some headstrong misguided old man. No longer interested in new club like that, miles better things to do on a weekend these days, especially as football these days is FUBARedemption..
I was manager there for a year. It was Humber Growers (the Bean family) it was all sold as housing in the end in the Brough area. Made them millions. Many different companies but all owned by different members of the family. Poolbank Salads once had the biggest greenhouse in Europe 6 acres under one greenhouse.
I've cut right down on away games (can list reasons why if anyone is really interested...) so my place on the Elite Superfan spreadsheet currently stored on the hard drive of this forum is under serious threat. Hell, I don't even wear a replica shirt
Fair enough. As Shanks once said... "Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious than that."
Thanks for that. Hell of an operation in my time there - wondered how much the business may have been worth ? Who'd be a farmer
Bollocks. I noticed a few pages of activity on this thread over the last few days and was hopeful of some news. Oh well, as someone keeps saying on here, it's the hope that kills you.
If that's the one on the left as you approach the Brough turn on the A63 westbound then that's where my work of art was on display...
Think within the ranks of the boycotters there are some thin-skinned types whose reasons.don't always bear scrutiny. Not all, but some.... I'll leave it there.
I've been involved in the glasshouse industry since leaving school in 1975 I believe that Humber Growers had over 100 acres of glass at its peak.
Hell, that's impressive. If the government ends up legalizing dope, they may regret having sold the greenhouses. My best man ( from Hull, came over here a year before I did) works in the environmental research/control industry and spends most of his time managing investigative projects associated with the "legal" growing of dope sector. Big, lucrative business these days.
Anyone who doesn’t look as if they are fit enough to play shouldn’t wear one. By the time replica shirts came out I was way past that stage so have never worn one.
Don’t like them. Some people are mug enough to pay a fortune for trainers worth **** all made in a sweat shop because they have a certain label on it.
Often for investment purposes though, not for peacock-related posturing. Is there an age limit for trainer wearage?
