The win I would love, but to win, you have to score more goals than the opposition, my problem is,,,,,,,,,,,who is going to score those goals?

I fear bruce may feel like this therefore he will put a team out not to loose instead of not winning.

I would be very dissappointing if we loose but it snot the end of the world and things will go on but our team morale will be shattered a swill Bruce's I suspect. If the pressure keeps mounting and the first win become further and further away I can see him walking.

Cest - I think if we lose Quinn will have to sack Bruce, otherwise it'll be a case of a fans revolt and does Quinn want that. I think not... I don't think Quinn could handle the fans turning on him if he didn't act. Bruce has been given the resources to work with and it seems he's incapable of managing those resources once he has them. This for me is scary.

Gus Poyet in for me, Bruce has run his course. Gus is a ture footballing man and has played and his sides play a brand of football that our fans would love.

As a foot note, earlier I posted saying that we are all over reacting over the start to the season. I do however think Bruce is not capable of taking this club any further and it seems we take one step forward, and two back. This has been the case with our strikers. It's there for all to see.

Poyet is a very exciting thought but he is woefully inexperienced to take on the job here. He needs another couple of seasons to learn his trade before a bigger move.

O Neill or Hughes are outstanding candidates, as is curbishley and all are available. If money is not the issue, then obviously Moyes is the top candidate out there.

Out of this list, I would only say that Moyes is the one that would give me the 'wow factor'!
Hughes has not exactly set the world alight, Curbishley, although he has my utmost respect, has been out of the frame for a while, and I'm not sure whether O'Neill still has the hunger and ambition these days.

I agree - but if Moyes comes it means we'll be playing 1 up front, hoof it long for the knock down and hope someone can pick it up (which is what we've been doing for the last 3 seasons and it's not pretty). Gus Poyet plays the game the way many of us only dream about watching. At the start of the season I said Brighton would be in the mix to friends on Facebook. He was everything Denis Wise wasn't and this has shown for me what he is capable of. Managing the resource he has and getting the best out of them. Which is what Bruce is not doing.

I agree with you that in a couple of years he'll be great but look at AVB at Chelsea, prime example of a young coach who understands the game and knows how to put it into practice.

We have nothing to lose and everything to gain. In two years time Gus Poyet will be at another premiership club. I'm crossing my fingers it's ours and soon.

Oxford, I quite like the idea of Poyet too. Said so a few days ago.

Cloughie used to use that style at Forest, and Billy Nicholson, who brought Spurs from Division 3 to Ist Division Champions in three seasons (around 1950) christened it 'Push and Run'. You pass the ball to feet and then run into space to receive the return. Wenger's Arsenal do it, but they tend to over-complicate it. Best example of it I've ever seen was Cambiasso's goal against Serbia (Argentina v Serbia in the 2006 World Cup). Yeah, I'll take that.

Sorry but cuckoo land rings a bell here.

    1. I don't think we have loads of money

    2. O'Neil or Moyes would want a fair size kitty to take the job on. O'Neil left Villa because they did not give him money we can't even keep hold of Bent. Moyes with no Kitty might as well stay at Everton.

if we loose I fear some serious head shaking from the fans and maybe even a showing of displeasure (all done in a gentlemanly fashion) not like those thugs up the road who forced Sir Bobby Robson out
