He probably only found out who they were after they came in for him. Weaker league IMO, but hey he got his pay rise. He might do quite well there, but I doubt he'll come up against the same intensity that he found in the Championship.
Totally agree, although to me most goalkeepers these days like to parry as maybe looks better for the cameras,i think i have mentioned this before, the art of catching the ball or collecting it in your midriff seems to be a dying art, an old school predatory kind of striker (Chapman/Bechio etc) would have a field day with goal keeping like this.
Roofe is lucky the decision to go was a ‘no brainer’... on hearing Kemar in interviews it never sounded like he was in possession of one.
Modern balls move much more and faster in the air... safer to clear it than risk dropping it. That’s the primary reason. The good keepers parry away from goal!
Listened to the Roofe interview, blatantly clear he wanted to go, made it sound like he was going to Barcelona. Asked if he’d still have gone had Leeds got promoted he said he wasn’t sure. After hearing the interview I’m glad he has gone, he thinks he’s better than he is. I’m sure he said he’s family has been over there for a week
I do believe he thinks he's better than he is but didn't want to risk it in the prem, he could get shown up, more likely to shine in Belguim, only 6 tough games a year, 3 teams home and away, the rest are champ, league 1 teams, easier to shine..
I don't usually look upon footballers as an investment but I think anyone signing Coliodi would double their money in a couple of years.
